Drove 45 minutes to buy chainsaw at Weaverville NC store. Not to look, but buy model I had already decided on. In store asked associate at Help Center if he could look up if had that model in stock. He was too busy cutting some keys to look it up on computer and paged a Krystal to help us at Stihl area. We waited. We waited. Walked up to cashier to have her look up inventory. She just said Krystal would be with us in a minute. There was nobody waiting to check out. Finally got upset enough to just leave store. I worked over 20 years in retail at Home Depot, Lowes and Tractor Supply. I know what good customer service is and received none here. Drove 15 minutes further to Asheville and went to Ace on Merrimon. What great store. ASM helped me. Great customer service, great product knowledge and he came right away to render assistance. This was while there was at least 10 times the number of customers in that store. Only saw 2 other customers in...

This store hasn't been in it's location for very long. The store is clean and decently stocked depending on season. Most of the Ace Hardware stores I go to have Carhartt in 3 and 4xl. This store has up to 1xl. Usually my experience at Ace is very positive. At this site, I was not offered assistance once and there were plenty of employees walking around the store. Certain items were not priced and when I inquired about the price the two women at the register simply stated and then restated that they did not know it. One of the women seemed new and she turned to the more seasoned worker for help to receive the same adamant reply. Not once did anyone offer to help find a price. The more experienced woman behind the counter just seemed pretty irritated in general. If you know exactly what you're looking for and where to find it, I would recommend this store. If customer service is important to you, consider one of the other Ace Hardware...

Very sad to leave this review as I used to love this place. After several experiences where they take orders and don't have the product when you arrive plus multiple times where you wait long, long amounts of time. I already had been leaning on Tractor Supply more and more. This time, I decided to give Ace another shot. I ordered and payed online for pick-up. The product cost over $2 more at Ace than at Tractor Supply (they were out of this item). When I called, I got a woman who told me I would have to come in. I asked why as it is a pick-up order. She sounded very put out. She rudely said, "fine," she'd tell someone we were there. Then she left us to wait. Employees walked by unmasked and literally coughing. Unreal. They do not follow the masking mandate for patrons or their own employees. I eventually canceled the order. I will...
