It's a very different atmosphere here since hurricane Helene swept through. Sooooooooo many people. Those that have lost everything and those who did not. Weaverville seems to have become a hub. I think it's great. A lot places just got good water source and not under a boil restriction. Today we were here to have Sunday lunch at the Golden Wok. These employees are absolutely not use to theses kinds of crowds. They were working hard to be sure everyone could get in the door to have a hot meal. The food was really good today and fresh. They were even serving sweet tea! Good job today Golden Wok, kudos to you and all your staff. As I was leaving they were looking to sit a family of 9. Read moreI like Weaverville Plaza because it is sizeable for our community and offers a variety of stores and a few restaurants: tLa Carretta, Chapala's, .Papa John's, Little Caesars, and IHOP. There is a Batteries+Bulbs, a gym that is super affordable and open 24/7, a UPS store (the employees rock!), and a Re-Store along with an eclectic resale store that sells more than women's' clothing. Read moreI went to Weaverville Plaza to get a haircut at Great Cuts. I did not have an appointment and was put on a list, and told approximately how long my wait time would be. This information gave me the opportunity to shop, have a quick bit, ,or shop at any of the other businesses in the plaza. This was much better than waiting 45 minutes in a chair doing nothing.
