Follow up from our first experience: we got the experience that should have been provided the first time. I really appreciate that the owner listened to my complaint and was understanding. We went again last nite(different room) we were provided a backstory which helped..we didn't escape but we had fun. Thank you for allowing us to try it out again and we can gladly say that we will be planning another time to go.
So first this is not our first escape room we have gone to several and this place was by far the worst. The guy at the front ran thru what he feels was rules pretty much just told us of all the things that other rppl did and for us not to do that ok fine great. He then proceeded to tell us that their equipment was broken (intercom, camera) left a walkie talkie to communicate. My biggest issue was he failed also provide storyline, directions about the locks(4or 5combo) We would ask for a clue thru the walkie talkie ,you could hear his was joking and laughing with the other workers. (I made a comment about going to Yelp to leave a review is when he responded) we didn't escape as he failed to provide some sort of information just kept repeating what we had already done. The locks would time out and would have to wait he stated wait 3.mins(wasting time on a timed game makes no sense but whatever). And then at the end we didn't escape (how could we with no direction). He comes in and just started giving excuse that he was working both rooms by himself because no one was there with him which was a lie because when we walked out more employees came out. I would never ever recommend this place but will let people know about...
Read moreI tried this place out during spring break and wasn't super impressed. I would not let my review deter you from trying it yourself, however I would not recommend doing the murder mystery room. My first issue was the awful stench we walked into. It gave my friends and I a headache the entire time we were playing and had us almost running to get out. I doubt this is a typical issue but it was an unpleasant experience for us. The murder mystery room lived up to being hard, however I'm not entirely sure that it isn't due to the multiple faulty interactive pieces provided. There were several things we tried that simply didn't work. Never have I had to ask for more clues that pointed me in the same direction I was already on. The last problem I had is with the unpleasant staff member who came in to answer questions and show us what was left to complete at the end. I do not remember the staff member's name, but she was very rudely off-putting. She almost seemed annoyed at us for asking questions. One thing I did not find professional is when she answered a specific question we had about the books. We asked how we were supposed to arrange them to open the drawer and she huffed and said "I don't know, I honestly hate this room." If the employees don't know the answers, then how are they supposed to provide us with helpful clues? I'm sorry I had to write a negative review on a single experience, but I hope you can see why I wouldn't want...
Read moreThis wasn’t our first escape room experience. That being said this location/chain is very unorganized and had clues with no rhyme or reason. The room we attempted was death row. We were expecting for one clue to lead to another, instead we had to ask for clues on every single thing. The locks used in the room are the most ridiculous locks on the planet earth. One lock had low batteries and another would not in lock with the correct combination (more than one person tried multiple times). After 10 minutes trying to open one lock and more minutes spent trying to open another almost 30 minutes were wasted. The clues we were being given from the employees came out of left field. We should be able to figure out puzzles in the room not get answers from employees that make zero sense to the puzzles. Example: on lock you had to spell out ROUTE 66 but where the heck did the Route 66 come from? We were working on the clues from the Bible, which also weren’t needed.
On another note, we booked the room for 8 people, paid for 8 people and still another group of four was able to join in with us. We were told only 10 people per...
