An indoor place to play all day, I’d say The Play Space might just be the venue you need to wear out a kid running like the Energizer Bunny. When The Play Space initially opened, both Misters enjoyed spending time there with friends. This place has an arcade section, play zones for all ages separated, massage chairs and a cafe with a variety of menu choices that even includes beer. The playscape for the bigger kids is massive, but yet it’s spacious enough to fit this chunky mama. Adults are allowed to play as well with their kids!. (Yes, I always make sure to make at least one run through any of these venues we visit.) Obstacle courses, multiple slides of all sizes and there is also a handicap section to fit a wheel chair. Last time we dropped in to play, we were able to use the blaster to shoot balls across to each other, but we didn’t see any ammo to engage in taking aim with kids. There is a Tot Spot which is for tots 4 and under and right next to that section is a zone for babies that are crawling or beginning to walk. Definitely a summer spot for playdates and being able to chat with Moms or even have a parent date with kids in tow. Upon entering, you’ll notice the check in booth and a gate at the front. This is great because you do not have to worry about kids escaping without you. Kids and parents must have a waiver signed before entering to play. Grip socks are required for kids. Grip socks can be of any brand, but adults can enter without grip socks. Each pair of grip socks are $3. Adults and kids are marked with a number that identifies each pair or group coming in together so children leave with the same person. My daughter’s number wore off and to make sure she was mine (she’s a mini me), I had to prove it by showing them a photo in my phone from any other day than the day of the visit. No issue at all and I was at ease that they took it a step further to keep children safe. No outside food or drinks allowed. There is a hand washing station in the hallway near the restrooms for everyone to wash up as needed. They do also have party rooms in case you’re needing one amazing venue that caters to a wide age gap. #htxmom #houstonandbeyondkidfun

✨Toddler Parent Review✨

I am so sad because I so wanted to like this place but it just wasn’t it for us.

Cleanliness: I went through the 4 and under crawl/tube and it was DISGUSTING under there. You can clearly see. There are toys, trash, and a layer of dirt and grime that’s about 2 inches deep. The vinyl on the climbing structure was discolored a yellow green color. Yuck. Someone allowed their kid in 4 and under play area to bring in a juice box. Then spill it all over the slide area. I spoke to the worker in that area and she looked up from her phone to tell me “oh yeah I saw she had juice over there.” Then she went and cleaned it up, thankfully. There was also a leak in the AC that was dripping on the floor tiles and causing a small puddle to form. There was a huge yellow extension cord rolled up and shoved between two of the little play houses. There were pieces missing from the floor tiles so you could see the concrete floor underneath and dirt was caking up in there.

Food: I honestly am just over places that won’t let you bring in food for your toddler. I get it for older kids and such but toddlers and babies are picky and you don’t have baby food on the menu. You have fried food and kid food. Which is great but not toddler or baby friendly and I can’t bring in my own. So maybe just plan on spending $3 for an applesauce which is about all that’s on the menu for little kiddos. Or plan on leaving to eat and coming back.

Rules/Staff: my 21 month old wanted to play in the 18 months and under section because they had a ball pit. There were no babies in there but they had the section zip tied off. So I asked if we could come in. She asked me how old my kid was and I said 21 months. She said no. Which okay whatever, except the same rules don’t apply to the 4 and under section. There were 9 year old kids running around and throwing plastic and wooden food and hogging the toys saying they belonged to them. I actually ended up having a few conversations with those kids asking them to stop and asking if they could please share. Then I asked how old they were because they were obviously not 4 or under. Yep, 9 years old. No parents in sight and the worker in that area just watched them throw stuff and even hit a kid in the head and said nothing. Unfortunately my kiddo also wanted to play on the bigger structure but I “wasn’t allowed” to go with him and he was “too young”. Plus it was absolutely nuts in there and I went on. Tuesday mid day. Weird.

Vibe: extremely loud, better for big kids maybe, expensive, no concern for safety or cleanliness. Big huge comfy chairs for adults to sit in everywhere, basically encouraging parents NOT to play with their kids and to just sit and relax.

Overall: If you have older kids plus also a toddler I could see enjoying your visit here more. But I wouldn’t come back here and pay the $18. I’ll stick to kids empire where it’s clean, I can keep my stuff in lockers for free, and it’s quiet and my toddler can enjoy everything along with me. I like to play with my kid.

All of this being said, he still did have fun as the eyes of a child are much different than...

If I could give 0 stars I probably would. Having my daughters 6th birthday party here was the biggest waste of $430.00 I have ever spent. My daughters party was 01/13/2019 @ 12:00. I arrived at the location about 10 minutes prior. I waited a little while for a party host to come to the front, all while I am getting messages from guest that are already inside and they are asking me where I am. Party host comes up, not friendly at all, tells me there are two carts with my daughters name, one for presents and one for anything we brought in. She says we are early and will not be able to go in the party room until 1. My party started at 12 not 1. She comes to get me about 12:25 to DECORATE! We have done parties several places and have NEVER had to get the room ready ourselves. When we go in the room, it is still DIRTY. Yes they are sweeping and wiping things down but why isn't that already done? I put the plates and napkins out and set the tables up. At 1 they call over the speaker for our party to come to party room. Pizza gets brought in about 1:05 pm and most is burnt and cold. Pizza comes from pizza hut, it is not the pizza they serve at the facility. We pass the pizza out and ask for the drinks since the party comes with a drink. Thank god I brought an ice-chest with drinks because we didn't get the drinks until 1:30 ish and that was after asking SEVERAL times. 15 min until 2PM party host comes in and rudely says if you plan on opening gifts you better do so. My daughter starts opening them, in the meantime someone from a different party is coming in to get presents that were put in our room that was theirs. ( I had already taken a gift to them also) Party host comes in again says 8 minutes and you have to be out of here, speaking loudly and just very arrogant. She brings a cart in and just starts putting everything on it, and keeps repeating you need to hurry up. The guest that I had at the party felt very uncomfortable as did I. As I am getting my daughter to hurry the party host just starts giving the goodie bags out which I had Boy and Girl bags, she knew this because we talked about it earlier when I was laying them out. I had girls get boy bags and boys get girl bags. Our guest were not told they could keep playing, the way they made it sound was you had to be out completely, so when my daughter went back out to play for her birthday everyone was GONE! Some kids didn't get to play at all because they arrived late, and when the party was over they thought they had to leave. Once we left the party room I took my daughter to the arcade area which is completely another story. We paid and left! My daughter will tell you that it was the WORSE party ever! I didn't even get to enjoy her party because I was busy setting up, passing out pizza, getting drinks and passing out cake. The 2 young ladies that were the "Party Host" probably need a little class in hosting a party for a KID, they weren't energetic or bubbly. I could go on for days about how awful it was and such a waste of money....

It was a great place for kids to play. We took our two year old twin toddlers. Our son has autism and was so excited. One instance was the ball pit. it was intended for 18 month olds. This parent was upset because her daughter screamed when she was tossed into the ballpit. Her daughter was content going back and forth and trying out the various baby sized couches but her mother was determined to make an athlete of her. It was so sad because my son was smiling and kept showing her a red ball. He didn't understand why she was ignoring him. So he kept repeating himself over and over. Finally i couldn't take it any more and pulled him out. After i pulled him out, she went and complained about my son saying he was too big. But he's two and his twin sister was allowed to be in the pit but because he's taller by 4 inches and five lbs heavier, it was a catastrophe. After this event, we were followed around by a 15 year old and if i went up into the play area to help them through, I was reprimanded for trying to"play for free" when we paid $35 for two tickets. My daughter was stuck and they weren't helping her. So, i was supposed to simply leave her. We left that area and went to play games. My husband won 2000 points and received four tickets because it didn't hit right on the spot. Then I hit the ball twice into the 4000 mark but was only credited for one and because i only hit it "once" It says 1000 lit up. But that equals....4 tickets. One piece of candy is 10 tickets. So, I asked if we could buy prizes. 🙊🙈🙉no. No, no. It would have been fun if it weren't for the Nazis. I didn't let them bother me and kept parenting properly. The workers are kids and don't understand that if a child gets hurt its a law suit. So, imo its better if a parent follows their child through the first 1/2x to show them how. Yes, I'm a helicopter parent. I can't just sit on my phone and listen to my kid scream for help because they climbed up and are scared to come back down. I'm not racist and I don't think colour should be introduced to children. Children don't understand and to be mean to a child and to continuously repeat even after seeing the hurt racism causes on a childs face.💔I wish I had recorded his face but I'm only recording happy moments and stating the negative. In hopes someone reads this and is kinder to the next person regardless of the amount of melanin in ones skin,...
