What a horrible experience I had today at the waffle house on NASA Rd One, 528. I meet with a dear friend who had just finished his cancer treatment. I prepared his taxes, and needed signatures. He lives in Alvin. I asked them to meet me at waffle house. My friend was not feeling well, and just wanted to sign the papers. We were approached by the waitress, my friend told her he was not going to eat, she said," then you can not sit at my table, this is not a office building, and if you want to do business, then go somewhere else" I was more than offended, when she huffed and puffed, I told her I was ordering! Now this is the same lady, 2 weeks ago, that everyone order, and I went over paperwork, with them. She didnt say anything about the $37. Food tab, or the $10 dollar I left. Today, There was 1 person at another booth, and 2 people at the counter seats. Now had this been a busy time...I would have not taken a table, for signatures on a piece of paper! My friend and I have both owned restaurants. Is that what you teach YOUR waitresses to say? I would have thought she would have been happy with Any table served, and the tip. Which I did leave only 10%, but my gut said leave her nothing. I am surprised by the ungratfullness of your waitress! I will find another place to order food, leave my tip, and get...

On 2/16/21, the second day of no power/no water during the Arctic blast that crippled our area, I set out in search of coffee. Was surprised to find that Waffle House was open. I went inside and was greeted by 2 employees. Yes 2, the only 2 working there that day! I was warmly welcomed and advised that they had a very limited menu. I asked if they had coffee, which they did. I ordered coffee an decided that some warm food would be wonderful since I had been eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and tuna sandwiches for 2 days and I was growing tired of it. I ordered bacon with hash browns and the coffee (they didn't have much of anything else) and man was it good! I had 2 yetis with me and asked if I could buy enough coffee to fill them. The sweet waitress only charged me for 1 small coffee to go and filled both my yetis! I've been to this location numerous times. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Food and coffee are always hot and fresh. They sure came through today. I really appreciate them being there serving what they had and giving what they could give. Just 2 employees keeping that restaurant open, serving hot coffee and very warm smiles! I wish I had gotten their names and I'm very sorry I didn't. I will be calling their manager and sending an email to corporate. They deserve a...
