Five Below — Local services in Wentzville

Just experienced incredibly poor customer service and outright rudeness from the employees working this evening!! I was trying to purchase a suitcase, which was on a shelf for $25. When I got up to the registers, I realized the one that I had grabbed didn’t have a tag. So I nicely asked the employee that was upfront about a price for it and she had mentioned that it might take her a little bit because this was her first night working. Which is not a big deal at all and she wasn’t rude or short at any point during this encounter. She then paged for a manager to come up. Instead of a manager, a secondary employee came up, started talking to her about the suitcase, and how they don’t sell them and he didn’t know where it came from. Before, either one of them acknowledged me standing there, a third employee came up and before she even says anything to the other two employees, she looks in my direction and with a very rude and short tone says, “Can you just wait a minute?!” I was literally just standing there and had been scrolling on my phone, and honestly was taken aback by her attitude. I briefly stared at her to confirm that she was talking to me because it was so out of nowhere, and then I said “do you want me to just go get a suitcase that has a price tag on it?” And she said “yeah that would be good.” Again with a very rude tone and demeanor. So three fully able employees forced me to walk all the way to the back of the store to get a suitcase that had a tag on it while they stood up at the registers chatting away. And they continued to do so while I rang out my items. Clearly the customer was not their first priority this evening and as a retail manager, I would be EMBARRASSED if this...

Alayna at the Wentzville Five Below is amazing!

We called her within one hour of closing on a Friday night desperately seeking over-sized tennis balls as props for a homecoming proposal. We needed 4 but she could only find 3. We told her what they were for and she was immediately invested in helping us pull it off!

While on her break she looked around her store and found several more then took the time to call me to let me know. I think she was more excited than we were!

We drove up, bought the tennis balls plus some other supplies in order to pull off our HOCO idea!

Employees are so rude that I refuse to come back. Called & asked one of the girls working if they have anymore iPhone 16 pro max cases in stock & she told me she thought so, so I asked if she could please double check for me so I didn’t waste a 25 minute trip there. She didn’t respond so I stayed on the phone for at least 2 minutes until she finally answered me back with an attitude saying “like I said, we have them”. Sorry for asking you to do YOUR JOB. New employees needed at this...
