I absolutely love this store! I find the variety of merchandise to be exceptional. Over the years, we've purchased many pieces of wall decor for various areas of our home from my husband's poker room, to our living room, to bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms. The pieces we purchased are sturdy, well made and attractive. We enjoy the battery operated flameless candles we purchased several years ago, which are still in good working order, as well as the regular candles. We purchased a variety of nice quality artificial and dried plant decor. We've also purchased little metal planter decor pieces that add charm to our house plants; these pieces are metal with brightly colored paint and artificial gem like pieces. We enjoy the large variety of crosses, of which I've purchased for our home and as gifts for others as well; made of metal, resin, wood, and a variety of other materials. We've purchased frames and matting materials, as well as utilized Hobby Lobby's onsite professional framing service to have photos framed and matted; each item was very professionally done and of quality construction. We've found their variety of mirrors to be perfect for our home, we've purchased several over the years which were made of heavy quality metal. We recently also purchased a small wooden table that attractively accentuates our home. I especially enjoy how the store is arranged with many themed areas to assist with decorating. Themes that have stood out to me include: rustic, modern, country, western, firefighting, fishing, girl's/boy's bedroom or play room, music, cooking, and gaming. They carry a wide variety of seasonal decor that is always fun to explore: ornaments, ceramic pieces, wall hangings, outdoor decor, garlands, craft supplies, seasonal dining items, etc. Seasonal items are stocked far enough ahead of the holiday that I can purchase and plan in plenty of time. I find pricing to be fair, with regular sales on a large variety of items. I've found many items on sale from 30% to 40% off the original price; recently I've noticed some items advertised for 50% off the original price. I've also found they have a clearance area; I always find it worth exploring! The store is clean and orderly. There are always plenty of carts available as you enter the store. I've usually had a short wait at the check out, but this doesn't bother me, as there are plenty of items to look at as you wait in line. Store personnel are professional and pleasant. Fragile items have always been carefully...
Read more9/27/23 - I am at this Hobby Lobby at least every other week out of necessity for craft things needed for work, a consistent but reluctant customer as it’s the only craft store in the area. In two years of regular shopping, no matter the season or time of day, I have never waited less than 5 minutes to check out. That sounds like a petty and impatient complaint, but there are 10 check out booths, and one for returns, yet I have never seen more than two of them in use at once. Almost always, only the returns is open meaning waiting to just check out requires waiting for anyone also making returns. The customer service manager L____ is often standing nearby, twice recently restocking away the candy while a line of 5+ people form around her. In the time it takes for her to notice the line and call over the intercom for another employee to come to a register, she could’ve simply got behind a register herself. I have seen countless customers get fed up with the long line and simply set their stuff nearby and walk out. When you do make it to the register, items are not scanned but individually typed in while the employee consults the weekly sales by hand. According to HL’s own founder, forgoing the ease of quickly scanning barcodes and manually checking out each item instead is because “he doesn't want employees to think the company values computers over them.” While this isn’t inherently a problem itself, with an already congested wait to even get to the register, it adds to this ever-present wait to check out. HL needs to update their registers and train staff solely for checkout instead of having them coming running from all parts of the store when the line...
Read moreHobby lobby always has those odds and ends you can't find anywhere else. I find myself in there for something, and finding all kinds of neat things I didn't come there for. Just walking the aisles can provoke a slew of projects you never thought about. Also, there is alway's coupon on their website for 40% off one item. Sometimes they have 50% off a whole department of the store. And if not, you always have the coupon which is especially great for those big ticket items. All you have to do is look it up on your phone and show them the coupon to get the discount. The employees are usually very friendly. Only one time did I feel like the person wasn't very helpful, but kind of short with me. Sometimes the customer needs more than a few seconds of your time. Other than that, nothing but good stuff here. One thing that is maybe less than ideal, they are not open on Sunday's. They are a Christian company, and being a Christian myself, I totally understand. But there have been a few times I really could've used something I could only get there on a Sunday. After all, Sunday is a great day for diy and...
