Ah Yes Home Depot...I went to go purchase appliances because they were on sale. Met an outstanding gentleman named Al. Al is the most nicest sales person and has so much knowledge about appliances. Promote Al! Al even called me the next day and left a voicemail to let me know that my appliances came out to be a little cheaper after the day of the sale. I thought it was odd since I bought them during Home Depot Appliance Sale but hey can't complain about saving some money. He even left me another VM saying don't bring your receipt in until your appliances get delivered otherwise home depot will have to change my delivery date. Great Thanks Al!!! Promote Al! Now here is where things change on my opinion about home depot. There was a Centimeter of snow on my driveway, delivery guy says "Nope not delivering." Called a "supervisor" at home depot and Angel said "there was snow in the driveway so they weren't going to deliver. Keep in mind I didn't know my wife already scheduled a different date but when I was on the phone with this "supervisor" she canceled that date my wife set and said the only delivery date she had was 3 days later than what my wife set up. WEIRDO! Called her back to explain this and to give me back the date that my wife set up and said "I can't" WHAAAAAT!!! ok then lets leave the date you put me in for. The delivery day comes, delivery service comes, and of course do you think they have all my appliances NOPE! they show up 1 out of 3 I ordered. The wife gets explained that there was a labeling issue so they just grabbed the 1 appliance. So, I head up to home depot after work to figure out what happened. 2nd shift supervisor has no clue what is going on. She tells me to call the delivery service. I said NO I will not do your job. I paid all this money and now you want me to do your job NOPE! Supervisor tells me someone will contact me right away in the morning and we will figure this out. So, from this story do you think anyone called me....NOPE I called and reschedule for today. Wife is at home between the times that we were told. She had to leave the house to get something for our handicapped kid and was gone for 15 minutes. Of course who came? The delivery people. Sign they left said they were there for 20 minutes. But wait my wife was only gone for 15 minutes so from basic math that I teach my 6 year old boy 20-15 =5 so how did she miss the delivery? Both of us got no call like we did with the other attempts to deliver. Long story short we canceled our appliances. I will never shop at a home depot...
Read moreThis store doesnât even deserve the one star. I purchased a dishwasher on 1/6/18. I also paid for installation... HUGE MISTAKE. RAS is the worst company to deal with. Their management lies to customers and has no idea what needs to be done in order to install a simple dishwasher. Home Depot did not help with this issue either. I ended up having to hire my own plumber to finish the install that Home Depot/ RAS could not! RAS was at my house 4 times and every time there was a different, new, issue that prevented them from installing the dishwasher! Yes, 4 times I had to make myself available for their 4 HOUR WINDOWS! They also damaged my hardwood flooring during one of their failed attempts. Home Depot agreed to pay for the other plumber (Albiero) however I had to harass them to pay the bill. Home Depot finally paid Albieroâs invoice on 4/25/18, it was due 3/10/18. Throughout the entire process of trying to resolve the worst experience I have ever had Amy the assistant store manager, Vicky the assistant store manager, and Wendy the assistant store manager all passed the buck and did not take responsibility for anything Home Depot did or did not do. Christy the head store manager was nonexistent during this whole process. I had to call weekly to check in on the progress. I even had to reach out to Jon Bauman the district manager who dragged his feet in getting this whole thing resolved and following up with me. I wish I could say that I was finally able to get answers when I spoke to the district manager, however Jonâs level of customer service was equally as poor as his store managers... a reflection of their manager! This whole experience was so bad that I canceled my Home Depot credit card and refused to do any business with this company going forward. I have been a loyal customer and in fact even worked for Home Depot years ago and loved the store until this awful experience. I feel that I couldnât of been treated any worse. I will be purchasing the rest of my kitchen appliances from a different GE dealer I will not spend another dime in a Home Depot...
Read moreTennies is an institution in West Bend. It was here b4 I moved to the area in '88. Before the big boxes arrived, I'd split my purchases btwn Tennies, Jim and Daves and Fleet Farm. Well, J&D is no more and Fleet's relocation to the back of beyond is just too far to go for routine hardware purchases (I live in Trenton, 6 miles East of WB on Paradise). So, that leaves Tennies. Menards and Home Depot. I typically like to support local businesses over the BgBx stores 1) on principle and 2) more knowledgeable and personalized service. Well, I have to report that Tennies--WB, has slipped in both customer service and knowledge. Except for local ownership I really have no reason to patronize this store. About 2 weeks ago, I went to Tennies looking for GOOP hand cleaner--the white stuff that comes in a small tub. ( Neither M or HD had any ) and some industrial grade nitrile disposable gloves. As soon as I walked in, I saw an employee and asked where I could find these items. Without engaging me, this young woman just pointed over her shoulder towards a couple of aisles which may have had the items I sought. No verbal communication, no attempt to put aside whatever task she was working on to help me. No thanks to this employee, I eventually found what I neeed and went to check out. The young woman at the register was equally aloof. I felt that my appearance was an annoyance and all she wanted to do was to complete the transaction as quickly as possible so she could get back to whatever she was doing b4 I interrupted her.
The only thing that distinguishes local businesses from BgBx competitors is customer service. Taking the xtra step to establish a relationship with the customer so they feel that you understand their problem and are there to help them choose the product or service that best meets their needs. Without that, your business is toast because you can't compete w the BgBxs on quality or price. Todd Tennies needs to understand this and train his...
