This Is It Shop's House of Fire — Local services in West Bloomfield Township

These guys are great! Visited the inlaws and my father-in-law loves his BBQ. So when I went outside and said to him "Do you notice that gas smell from the BBQ?" and he said yes I have to call someone, I knew it was my duty to find the right people. The gas company came and tagged the line. Then we asked around and were referred to a plumber, who upon hearing how old the BBQ is said he wouldn't touch it!

Then a little googling had me find This Is It Shop's House of Fire. And whoever answered the phone (I forgot to get his name) said he could fix it. Ecstatic I told my father-in-law I have the solution. The repair guy called 15 minutes before he showed up and immediately went to work cleaning the BBQ. Now at this point I should tell you my father-in-law was observing with glee from a very close distance (too close for these social distancing times) as he said ohhh I used to have someone come once a year and clean the bbq. This is great! Then the repair guy started digging to find the leak and boy was it a big one. He found the leak, showed the pipe at which I became concerned in the back of my mind for how long this leak was left to go on for. Then he repaired it. Total cost was $260 which was definitely fair and now my father-in-law is excited to call This Is It Shop's House of Fire for annual BBQ cleaning. And he's got his grill back. What more could you ask for?

Wish I could give them 10 stars!! After losing $125.00 to "Detroit City Sweep, LLC" (DCS), whose serviceman came out empty handed, he didn't even have a lighter on him, he had to use mine and did absolutely NOTHING. I called This Is It . . . Their serviceman came so loaded down with equipment that I asked him if he needed me to carry anything. He took off his shoes at the door and laid a huge drop cloth in front of my fireplace. He had the part that I needed right in his bag, even though my unit was probably built in the 70's. He installed it and WIPED DOWN MY WHOLE FIREPLACE. He also showed me where the sticker is (right up front) that list the brand, make and model number of my fireplace (the DCS serviceman had no clue where this information was and told me that "I" would need to find out and provide them with it before the part could be "ordered"). All of that service in approximately 30 minutes. Save yourself time and money. Call these EXPERIENCED, professional guys, that come ready to do the job! I purchased a direct vent gas insert from them and then had it installed it in a former wood burning fireplace. I was able to run the gas and electrical myself but figured I'd leave the finesse of the final install to them. Everything was ready on time and installed as expected. They keep it simple and don't over-complicate things like a few of the other shops and installers I spoke with. No regrets!

Nov 2023 update: Still loving everything about the fireplace, but I had to make a service call because the remote was not functioning. The response time to stop by to get it working again was VERY quick.
