Sunset Liquors — Local services in West Cape May

Updated review, 2024: In the five years since my earlier 5-star review, Sunset Liquors has changed management, trimmed the diversity of the middle-end range of its wine offerings, and meaningfully hiked prices. In my view, these factors have weakened the advantage of shopping here over off-island competition, unless walkability is a factor.

Extremely impressed with Sunset Liquors. Katie took an unusual order from me. I called them from Texas. My wife, sister in law, and several girlfriends are celebrating my sister in laws birthday at Cape May this weekend. Katie took my order for 3 nice bottles of champagne for the birthday girl and her friends and actually had it delivered cold with champagne flutes to their hotel room. All in about 15 minutes after my phone call to place the order. Extremely helpful and accommodating and they could not have been any nicer. Thanks to all at Sunset Liquors for your help. I unfortunately don't have the name of the young man that made the delivery. The ladies were thrilled!!!!!...

Sunset is a GREAT wine store not only in that it is open all year, but the staff is very friendly, professional, and attentive to any questions you may have, and the selections are very good among various price points. This is a small, independently owned wine store and not a massive chain establishment so you can qet your questions answered honestly, they have never tried to upsell me. Eddie is particularly helpful and knowledgeable - I appreciate all of the suggestions he's given me. The off-season case discount is a very good deal if you can take advantage of it. I find their prices to be reasonable based on the convenience of the store and helpfulness...
