THEY CALL IT "TIGER CRY"๐ฏ @noblethaichicago ๐West Town, Chicago
We celebrated our 3 year anniversary here ๐and wow I can't even begin to explain how good everything was. The Thai chef and owner was from Opart Thai before. And they opened this spot up during the pandemic
I'm always skeptical of Thai food in Chicago. It's very hard to find quality and authentic Thai food thats as close to what I've had in Thailand as possible. This is one of the places I'd 100% say is authentic and I can't wait to be back # sponsored
We got the: ๐ฅฉTIGER CRY- charbroiled marinated beef : sweet, savory, chilli and tangy. Beef was nice and tender and flavor was bomb ๐ทCRISPY PORK BELLY or PAD KANA MOO CRAB - crispy pork belly, super flavorful and tender (takes a long time to do) with the sauce soaking in Gai Lan. Everything I love in a dish ๐ฆ DUCK RED CURRY or. GAENG PET PED -. Simple with Huge chunks of duck. Has a nice sweet flavor with pineapple, tomato, and coconut ๐ฅญMANGO STICKY RICE - no explain needed . They serve it only 3 months in a year. You can see how ripe and yellow the mango was
Don't forget the cocktails. I highly recommend the MyThai that I had. Mango, lime, and coconut , really tasty combined with rum
We didn't order the pad Thai because we asked Pim what she loves at the restaurant. If you want pad Thai, I remember that the pad Thai from Opart Thai (same chef) was really good, more on the tangy side
Update from July 2023

ย ย ย Read moreI just had dinner here tonight and drove 1.5 hours to try this new beautiful place. The decor is beautiful and minimalistic and well spaced apart. We probably ordered 90% of the menu so we could try as many things as we could and everything was Deelicious! I didn't even want to take up stomach space for Tiger Cry because I thought it would be like galbi but this meat is so flavorful and tender I think I have to get this every time now. I am picky about Tom Yum and this was extra lemongrassy with all the best flavors in each spoon (I'm deeply regretting the little I left behind). And when my husband tried my leftover pad thai he exclaimed this was the best pad thai he's ever had (this is an excessive review for him because he is rarely impressed by anything). The fried chicken (get it spicy) is extra crispy with an additional crust of spicy lemony seasoning (never had something like this before but I wish I could have a jar of it). I don't like fishy papaya salad so this one was perfect for me, refreshing (get it spicy if you can handle it). I guess I'll have to drive 1.5 hours again to come back for all of...
ย ย ย Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was truly unacceptable. We were charged a tip without our consent, and when we raised this issue, the manager responded in an unreasonable and dismissive manner. Instead of acknowledging our concern, he asked if we had tipped or not, completely ignoring the fact that the service was subpar and the tip was added without permission.
Whatโs worse, he stated that the staff โdonโt get paidโ and thatโs why they charge guests, which is both unethical and unprofessional. He showed no willingness to listen, take responsibility, or offer a resolution. Instead, he accused us of simply โcomplainingโ after he had already admitted they charged us for something we didnโt agree to.
This type of behavior reflects very poorly on the management and overall integrity of the restaurant. Guests deserve transparency, respect, and a basic standard of customer service, none of which we received. I hope they reconsider their practices, because no one should be...
