(This review is strictly for the LushDogs pop-up at Hot Dog Fest this year. I tried my best looking for someone to directly complain to but the websites provide no such contact.)
Lush did a terrible job at Hot Dog Fest today. 2 separate order lines with no set waiting area, so people were crammed in the middle, waiting 15+ minute ticket times! For sausages!! (I understand the mustard frothing, but it was slammed when I got there and sausages had been well on the grill.) Two separate lists were being made for orders and in the end, they got so slammed that they were giving other peoples' orders away.
I heard from a good friend that Jon is an encased meats genius, and I had just enough time to grab a good lunch before I had to report to the stage there. I waited a good 25 minutes before I started seeing my band members on stage and I had to ditch my prospects of eating a delicious looking brisket sausage. When I had returned, everything had been sold out and that service could return in "an hour?" I went some yards down and had a delicious duck dog handed to me in less than 2 minutes, but it wasn't the same.
I understand good ingredients take time to prepare, but at a festival like this, everything has to be GOOD TO GO. What were you guys doing, back there? Fix those systems, please!! I had to play a show on an empty stomach when I didn't have to, and that is...
Read moreWe should have known better. The sign says it closed at 10pm. It was already 1040pm when we walked through the doors (people were still drinking, eating). We asked the guy at door if it was open, he said yes so we proceeded to the bar. Ordered 2 glasses of wine (1 each) then come to find out that the darn place closes at 11pm! WTF! It would have been nice to know that before we ordered our drinks. Needless to say, we felt the need to chug our wine (for $12 a glass, you better). Unfortunately, we didn't chug fast enough as we literally got kicked out before we could finish our glasses. And to make matters worse, when we paid for our tab...the server said some BS thing about how the tip can only be added to one of the credit cards and not both. OK I guess...not really understanding why. So then when he comes back with our cards, he retracted the stmt and said, oh "didn't know you ordered 2 drinks". OK that was just weird. Cute place and love that the wine selection is vast but def need some...
Read moreI visited here just recently and it was a very uncomfortable experience. I had made a reservation for 3 people to get drinks to celebrate my friend’s birthday. When we arrived, we told the host/bartender that we had a reservation for 3 and he didn’t believe us…
He didn’t look it up in the system or anything, he simply stood there and said “really?” while staring at us. It was extremely odd and even a little aggressive. I ended up pulling up the confirmation email on my phone to show him and confirm we were at the right place at the right time, and he just sort of sighed and rolled his eyes and told us to scan the QR code for the menu.
Once we were seated we were all very put off and afraid to interact with him. Luckily the rest of the time was mostly fine. He was pretty inattentive, but fine.
I debated giving the review a 2 since the drinks and charcuterie board were fairly average and the service was as described, but I decided to be generous.
I’m not sure if I’d...
