Halal International — Local services in West Columbia

I'm excited! I was looking for feta cheese, yoghurt, and olives, so I stopped in to Halal International after Googling for Middle Eastern groceries. Amazingly, it turns out to be owned by an Afghani (Pashtun, but speaks Farsi as well) and an Arab partner. And as of a few weeks ago, an Iranian opened a restaurant next door (same building)! Wow! I've lived in Columbia for less than a month and had searched for Persian food locally, in vain, for a long time. "The Kebab House" serves an extensive Persian menu of kebabs, stews (khoreshts) and desserts. Lovely people, both at the grocery store, and the owners of the restaurant. ...

The grocery has expanded and now has a restaurant tucked in back. Big Greek salad (you could feed 4 off this for 6.99) that's one of the best we've had (nice touch adding red and green peppers) because the feta and dressing, while ample, don't overpower the rest. And the chicken and beef/lamb shwarma wraps are large and among the best we've had. This is really a 4.5-star rating. Food prep was a tad slow (but that's mitigated by how fresh it was). Price $$. I ordered some beaf meat with bones I told them will pick up I didn’t look at that time they gave me with half fat it was not fresh as well , I recommend you don’t order from the phone ,in person look at and buy it

The other things i got experience from this store, some of bins don’t have price tags When pick up items and casher count with high prices Also the cashier charged me extra money from my account when checked my receipt it was token 23$ extra I told cashier why he told oh i am so sorry misunderstood there were multiple people faced with extra charge I hope this store...
