I'm excited! I was looking for feta cheese, yoghurt, and olives, so I stopped in to Halal International after Googling for Middle Eastern groceries. Amazingly, it turns out to be owned by an Afghani (Pashtun, but speaks Farsi as well) and an Arab partner. And as of a few weeks ago, an Iranian opened a restaurant next door (same building)! Wow! I've lived in Columbia for less than a month and had searched for Persian food locally, in vain, for a long time. Big Greek salad (you could feed 4 off this for 6.99) that's one of the best we've had (nice touch adding red and green peppers) because the feta and dressing, while ample, don't overpower the rest. And the chicken and beef/lamb shwarma wraps are large and among the best we've had. This is really a 4.5-star rating. Food prep was a tad slow (but that's mitigated by how fresh it was). Price $$.
