We came to Columbia SC for our sons BCT graduation from Fort Jackson. Along the way I was looking for a room close to the base, I actually booked one but didn't read the reviews. I went based on pictures and price. Later as we got closer, I was bored and looking more and reading reviews on other hotels in that area off base weigh were horrible, then read the reviews for the hotel I had initially booked. I immediately cancelled. It spoke about cockroaches in the room, dirty carpets, sheets even the towels. I didn't feel like bringing roaches back to my home in Wisconsin. So cancelled and kept looking. Found this hotel, the Ramada limited which is a little further but really it's almost a straight shot to the base. 15 minutes drive time. This hotel want bad at all. Very very friendly. Was only $13 dollars more than the other hotel which I had initially booked (Days Inn by Wyndham). The Ramada was very clean, cozy, up to date. I was actually very surprised for the price we paid... And they offer breakfast, have a fitness room, and a outdoor pool. I would definitely stay here again. Parking lot is lit up, so no worrying about your car. There's nothing I can say that is negative about this hotel. All positive. So if you're coming for your child's graduation & family day. This place is perfect. The price we paid, in my state, I would've paid probably $30 dollars more. So.... With that said, 5 stars all the way!! Thanks for everything Ramada and to the front desk personnel thank...
Read moreWas picking up a worker there one morning, he was running late and my truck didnt have heat. So I went in to grab a coffee and wait (I've spent literally 10 years of my life sleeping in hotels across America 5 star vegas suites to $20 night nightmare rooms) never once been treated like this let alone from a 2 star establishment but I digress. As I am in the process of pouring coffee into a cup, the woman behind the counter asks if I am a guest. I explain about the guy I'm waiting for and my wanting to wait in the lobby and warm up for 5 min as he throws his pants on. Even offer to pay $1.00 for the 8 oz. Coffee after seeing her scowl at me. Asks what room hes in "idk".. Asks his name I give the first name which is all i know I'm just giving dude a ride to work Not enough to convince her I'm telling the truth even though I cant imagine why anyone would be about this comes over snatches the cup from my hand spilling (luckily luke warm) coffee on our hands and the floor and orders me to leave the property ..... Smh i have no words if there was a legitimate policy that explains this #ramada let me know. Until then I feel some type of way. That was disrespectful, and wrong I won't let it be excused, overlooked,...
Read moreStayed at this place a couple days ago and it was horrible, first of all the man in the front is very rude, actually to be exact there are 2 men and both are very rude.We went on a family trip I kid you not for a day and both of the men wanted us to get 2 separate rooms when were were literally a family of 6,2 adults and 4 kids which is why we asked for a 2 bed room because of the kids,we would only be staying for 1 NIGHT and leave early morning. Both men gave us a horrible attitude due to us being a family of 6.The next morning we went to get breakfast and this nice lady served us pancakes but I peeked that the rude man was literally eyeing us,and as soon as the lady was done serving us breakfast the man came up to her and told her to close the kitchen, keep in mind that the nice lady told us breakfast ends as 9:30 and it was literally ONLY 9:00. I would not recommend this place I would recommend to stay at another hotel. They only care about the money and not the quality of the hotel since the rooms smelled and...
