If I could give a zero 0-star rating, I would. I ordered an appetizer of 12 scallops [only], from this restaurant; and the cashier rang up a scallop platter, which is only 6 scallops - and it includes fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. It took 15 minutes to get my food, I am assuming, because it was made to order. I got my order, which was in a styrofoam box, in a plastic bag, and left. But I did not know the order was wrong, until I made another stop, to get a frappe and opened up the box. After waiting so long for my food, I knew I had to drive back, and ate two scallops that were in the box, on my way back to the restaurant. Once there, I told the original cashier that my order was incorrect - it was not a platter, but should have been an APPETIZER of only 12 scallops. The clerk returned with 4 cold scallops and nothing else. Mind you, I was charged for a āplatterā, $8.99. Where was the difference owed? And where is the rest of the order? Next a manager or some other worker (a dark-skinned man, with a foreign accent), came to the window, with an attitude trying to explain that I ate two scallops, so they were giving me 4 (not even hot scallops, but the same ones that I had just returned). Again, the appetizer is 12 scallops. The worker then stated that I would owe them 2 extra dollars (the difference in price, which was wrong, because the appetizer was $9.99, not $10.99); and that was his way of scamming and overcharging me. And then, he said they would give me 10 scallops, because I ate two from my old order. According to him, I would be getting charged a dollar over the price and then, not receive a hot fresh order of cooked food. In disbelief about them counting scallops and ārecyclingā my food, I just asked for a refund. And THIS is where the foolishness went to another level. The worker returned with $8. Again, the platter was 8.99, plus tax. This man told me, that he was taking off a dollar, because I ate 2 scallops. Mind you, there is no established pricing for ā2ā scallops, anywhere. It was an amount he made up, on the spot. And then he tried to lie and tell me that the $8 was given to me also, because I wasnāt charged taxes, but the big $1.09 in tax was on the receipt. At minimum, I was owed $8.99 back, for not only returning the order, but the time he wasted out of my day to return it and have him argue about my money and their mistake. He actually then, blamed me for their mistake, by stating I should have checked the bag, before leaving. Duly noted - although I will NEVER check anything from there again, as I will never give them my money again. I actually waited in line, and did not move, until the man gave me my dollar he owed me; and I am still short the sales tax I was charged. The whole handling of their mistake was completely unprofessional and argumentative, for no reason. And this man gave no apology, not for their mistake, or for any of it. This business is petty and apparently poorly managed. Beware of going through this type of hassle, when youāre hungry and have had a long day. It is a shame that with certain small business establishments, you will receive poor customer service, like this. All he had to do was redo the order, and a good business practice is to apologize and not badger me for the dollar difference, or count scallops (I thought he was about to count individual french fries, in the box, too), simply because I had to take the time and inconvenience to return it. Thatās ācustomer serviceā. It is certainly not appropriate try to con me out of āextraā money (an additional dollar over), and not accounting for the sales tax I already paid, that now goes in his pocket. I am a reputable person and an Army officer. I try to support BOBs, but the next time I am hungry, I will be sure to spend my money elsewhere. And I encourage you to do the same. This entire display was simply trashy, embarrassing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited Nickās earlier today, around 3 - 3:30pm. It was a typical Nickās run except for the fact that my A/C compressor is shot and the temperature at that time was a sweltering 95 degrees. I was hoping there werenāt too many people there because waiting in a long line meant baking in the hot sun and heat. š„µ I was relieved to see jus two cars there when I pulled up. I ordered my food and waited patiently. Every minute (and it wasnāt that long a wait) felt like an eternity in the hot box on four wheels. When I finally pulled up to the window, I was desperately trying to catch my dripping sweat with a baby wipe, while frantically searching for more change to pay because I didnāt quite hear the total under all that heat. šš The gentleman at the window was so sweet, patient, and attentive. He offered me a large lemonade on the house to help me cool off. Iām so grateful for him! It was a small gesture for him but a huge gesture for humanity in my book! Thank you for the drink I didnāt realize I needed, but greatly appreciated! šš¾š My food was delicious and fresh as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went out of my way to come to this location because I called and asked was they allowing dine in because on Google maps, it said they were but wanted to make sure. The guy said yes on the phone so proceeded in route. When I got there, the dining area had chairs blocking the dine in area. The 1st question I asked the guy was, are you all allowing dine in eating because I called and you said yes but you have the area blocked off. He said, don't worry about it and it was all good. So we ordered food. I we went to sit down, I wiped the table and all. We was in there sitting about 8 min and the guy comes over and said, I'm sorry we are not allowing dine in. I said I specifically asked you on the phone and soon as I came to the register and both tines you said yes. I said we came way out of our way Just to sit down and eat. He apologized again. I said well, cancel our order, I need my money back. He told the cooks and I can hear them instantly get upset. He did give my money back but, that's the 1st and most likely last time...
