Oceanview Seafood Restaurant on Broad Street is a true gem that delivers exceptional value and flavor in every dish. This local favorite proves that great seafood doesn't require waterfront views when the quality and portions speak for themselves.
Impressive Portions, Impressive Flavors
What immediately strikes you about Oceanview is their commitment to generous serving sizes. Every meal arrives as a substantial portion that ensures you'll leave completely satisfied. But quantity means nothing without quality – and this restaurant absolutely nails both aspects.
Memorable Meal Highlights
My wife's lobster tail was cooked to perfection – tender, succulent, and clearly fresh. The preparation showcased the natural sweetness of the lobster without overwhelming it with heavy sauces or seasonings. It was evident that they know how to handle premium seafood with the respect it deserves. My catfish fillets were outstanding – perfectly seasoned, expertly fried with a golden crispy exterior that gave way to flaky, tender fish inside. The "all the trimmings" lived up to their promise, with sides that complemented the main dish beautifully and added even more value to an already generous plate.
Delicious Across the Board
Every bite reinforced why this restaurant has earned its reputation. The flavors were authentic, well-balanced, and clearly crafted by a kitchen that takes pride in their seafood preparation. Whether you're craving classic Southern-style catfish or elegant lobster, they execute each dish with equal skill and attention.
Exceptional Value
In today's dining landscape, finding a restaurant that offers both quality and quantity at reasonable prices is increasingly rare. Oceanview Seafood Restaurant delivers exactly that combination, making it perfect for date nights, family dinners, or any occasion where you want to enjoy fantastic seafood without breaking the bank.

Read moreWe visited this restaurant on Monday Dec. 23 for an early dinner. We are from out of town and wanted something different that we couldn't get at home. To call this experience a disappointment is being generous. I wish we had followed our gut instinct and turned around and left when we first walked in, but we figured we'd give it a chance even though it looked a little old and in need of some interior repairs. The blooming onion appetizer was swimming in a puddle of grease, it tasted ok but was too greasy to enjoy. The salads were sitting in a puddle of water (I'm glad they wash their lettuce but they could dry it a little before serving it). My husband and daughter got clam chowder, it was basically a cup of warm milk with stuff floating in it. Really unpleasant. My husband enjoyed his clam strips but the rest of the meals had issues. My son-in-law could not even eat his Mahi Mahi because it was so old and fishy tasting and smelled like it had sat out for a while and his baked sweet potato was almost raw. My daughter's tilapia was in a similar condition. She never got her baked potato despite very nicely asking the waitress for it twice. My order was incorrect and the steak had absolutely no flavor and the broiled shrimp was mangled and looked like someone had already chewed it. The service was lackluster and she seemed disinterested in doing her job. The manager was pleasant but it felt as though he was brushing off our issues with the food. He did comp some of the items that were inedible but the food and experience were not worth the $111 it still cost me. I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant...
Read moreThe food was pretty decent for the price, although the tea was quite watered down. It was almost like they just kept adding sugar and water but no actual tea as the tea urn got low. My main complaint is the rude and unprofessional staff. Sierra our server was actually amazing, and we watched one of her co-workers, Lucy, seat us at a dirty table (TWICE!) in her section that was already in the weeds, and then tell Sierra to take care of it while walking off. Sierra looked at her in shock, but to her credit didn't say anything, just continued to serve us with a smile and cleaned. Meanwhile, Lucy walked off complaining that she was busy as she went back to the front desk to stand with another young lady to wait for customers to come in the door. Spoiler alert: not many did. To make it worse, all of us customers sitting in the area could hear those two at the front desk talking about Sierra, while we also we talking among ourselves and asking Sierra if she was ok. Lastly, when we went up to pay and brought our concerns to who we presumed was the manager on duty, she tried to ARGUE US DOWN, IN FRONT of other customers about how Sierra should have said something if she needed help, and how they both at the front desk were in the weeds too. Common sense: if you see who's coming in and you're seating them, then you would know how many customers are in the section already. Long story short: food was ok, Sierra was great, Lucy and other lady (think her name was Dinah) were unprofessional and rude. If they don't change their standard of customer service and how co-workers communicate, they won't be open...
