I want to address some of the comments where people posted low reviews. I have been a customer since they opened about 22 or 23 years ago and I have tried Walgreens, Harmon’s, Walmart, to name a few, and Smiths Marketplace on 9000 S in West Jordan is the fastest in filling my prescriptions and has the best customer service bar none. They will contact my doctor about refills, pre-authorizations or any other issue that needs clarifying. Somebody put a review on here that said they dropped off a prescription before 9 am and were told they could pick it up the next day instead of the same day but that’s all the info they gave. I am wondering if they are reviewing the right Smith’s pharmacy, if they communicated their desire to wait and have it filled that day, or if they already had a previous prescription for the medication and weren’t happy because it wasn’t time for the new one to go through yet. The person doesn’t say. The pharmacists and techs always explain things to me and if anybody wants to talk to the pharmacist instead of a tech the pharmacist always comes right over to help. I have seen people get bent out of shape because of laws the pharmacy doesn’t make but has to follow and that person who made the review is not telling the whole story. There is more to it than being told to come back tomorrow and if he wasn’t happy there had to have been a conversation and explanation and he isn’t sharing. I would take his review with a grain of salt. I think the few low reviews on here are from people who are mad that the pharmacy won’t break a rule and those people aren’t telling the whole story. As far as the line issue goes, somebody who posted a review was upset because they call up people who have been waiting in the seats before somebody who is standing in the line. The reason they do it is because the seat waiters have been at the pharmacy or in the store way longer than the line waiters. I have never been in a line longer than 4 or 5 people and since their drop off and consult window is separate the pick up line moves quickly. I saw a guy in front of me in line get pissed off about the seat waiters being called up and the pharmacist said that the complainer had been in the line for a minute but the person they called up before him had been in the store for about about 20 minutes. Their medication hadn’t jumped the queue and they had gotten to the store before that guy even if he had his stuff filled yesterday and it was waiting for him. They are trying to get people out in order of the time they got to the store once their meds are filled. I don’t have a problem with somebody who was waiting in chairs going before me because they were in the store longer. I often go shop if I drop off and wait and then I go to the chairs where they will call me. I think it makes sense to do that because who wants to ask a person who was sitting and waiting to go wait in a line behind people who got there after they did. And you just can’t have them wait in line the whole time and have people pass them. It’s ridiculous. That’s what the guy who did the low review wants them to do. I bet if he had been waiting in the seats and was asked to go stand in line again behind somebody who had just arrived, he’d blow his stack about that too. There’s no making some...
Read moreI’ve had my fill of the lousy automated voice response system. It takes me ten minutes to work my way through the very unhelpful system to simply confirm with the pharmacist regarding self pay options for a prescription I need. If I need a refill the automated system takes ages to understand what I want. Just today I told it I wanted to refill a prescription and it said, “ You want to reach our bistro, correct?” Are you bloody kidding me right now? It takes many times longer than it should to do anything with this automated system, and it has to go. I’ve been with this pharmacy for more than 20 years but I’m just about fed up enough to switch over to Costco or someplace else just to be rid of the godawful automated system. Get rid of that system and I’ll consider...
Read moreI was there today at around 1:30, which is important because there were two ladies who were so incredibly helpful and kind, but one of them had hair on their name tag and I couldn’t get her name. Anyways, Robin and that lady were both awesome. Robin went above and beyond to help us on two separate occasions - myself and my partner on separate days, which means she’s just always that kind and willing to do the steps to assist people. We were having some issues with a prescription for my cat and they were both able to help us get it squared away multiple times now. Should be par for the course going forward with ease of the prescription pickup now that it’s sorted, but I think they both deserve a shout out....
