We love ourselves a good burger, so when this place popped up, we were excited to check it out. That said, our experience was a bit of a mixed bag, thanks to some hiccups with the service, wait time, and portion sizes. Let’s talk about it!
We arrived around 5:30 PM, and there were only about 4-6 patrons—a mix of diners and people waiting for takeout. By our standards, not exactly busy. The order tablet wasn’t working, which was fine by us since a staff member stepped in to take our order (always a plus in my book). We went for a Classic and a Bacon Burger, with sides of fries and cheese curds. Nothing crazy.
After placing our order, we settled in to wait. And wait we did. Nearly 30 minutes passed before our food arrived. Given how empty the place was, that felt excessive. The only acknowledgment of the delay was a quick, “Sorry for the long wait.” I get that sometimes things run behind, but the lack of urgency or any effort to make the situation better was disappointing. It seemed like this was just business as usual for them.
When the food finally arrived, it looked promising. The burgers were presented nicely, and the sides came alongside. But then we noticed—our cheese curds side had seven-eight curds. That basically make it $0.90 per curd, that’s a tough pill to swallow. The fries? Warm, not hot, and unseasoned. As for the burgers, they were decent enough. Sauced well and visually appealing, but the flavors didn’t really pop. They were just...fine. Nothing that would have us rushing back.
This place has potential. You can tell there’s a foundation for something pretty great here. But the lack of enthusiasm, attention to detail, and urgency is really holding it back. If you’ve got people coming through your doors, why not make their experience great instead of just “meh”? That’s the kind of thing that keeps people coming back. Right now, it feels like they’re falling short on a few things that could be turned...
Read moreFirst off, I would do 2.5 stars but I can’t, so, I would like to formally start with saying that the staff was very nice and the food was out quickly.
Although I would like to add that the fries were random, (meaning some would have no salt and others would have way too much salt.) The grilled cheese was just 2 slices of normal bread,(which is fine), but the cheese felt to be Kraft Singles, not even fully melted.
Don’t even get me started on the chicken, because it was dry, bland, and lacked proper seasoning.
On the contrary, though, one of the people in my party said they enjoyed their cheeseburger and shake. Which is understandable considering it IS a burger/shake joint.
Now, I’d like to end this review with discussing the actual place, I don’t have to complain about anything except the amount of space there is. It’s a very small restaurant, not accommodating the amount of people that were there.
The tables were very nice and all the decor, too. Along with that, the soda machines were clean.
On the other hand, my party was sitting right under the air conditioner, which made them very cold, (it didn’t bother me.)
Finally, to conclude this review I would like to congratulate the staff on being some of the nicest staff I have ever met. They offered to give somebody a gift card/refund/more food because the food they ordered didn’t meet their standards. They also were very understanding, polite, and overall, for a lack of better words, very respectful.
Thanks for whoever is reading this and I would recommend to anyone who has never been, it was a nice place to try, but probably wouldn’t go again. Have a...

I am disappointed that Wayback couldn't deliver a good burger experience with their advertisement. Missed quite and few marks, and unfortunately very inconsistent. Overall will get a 3.2.
The burger was built pretty good, and presentation is better than than the taste. The biggest miss is the seasoning. The patty was pressed great on the flattop, cooked pretty well, but 0 flavor from any salt or pepper. It would make this burger shine much better. Unfortunately from other experiences sometimes the burger is just dry and 0 char. Bun good, tomato getting out of season, a bit too much lettuce. It's a hit and miss again with consistency. Fries were very floppy for us, and they ran out of cheese to put in them. They were nice though to try a different cheese but it wasn't good. I appreciated the effort to help us from the manager. The cookie butter shake was the best redeeming quality! Great creaminess and texture, with little cookie crumbles and good cookie flavor! But I've heard that it also can be very lacking in flavor from others.
Front counter was nice, a little put out by some questions about the menu I noticed. Just wanted to learn about the new place. The manager himself was very kind and came to our table personally to talk about missing ingredients and tried to help.
Probably won't be returning, as the prices are around that of shake shack and 5 Guys, maybe a bit cheaper, but not worth it in the end. I hope it can...
