Awesome food. I ordered one of each of their food options - even the ones that were not on display. I didn't get a chance to take pics of everything because they disappeared a little too fast. The pork singigang was just the right soup for today.
I got jeprox, pork singigang, pork adobo, chicken curry, beef kaldereta, tortang talong, longganisa, chicken adobo, kare-kare, turon, and pancit Canton.
I snacked on the jeprox on my way home so it was gone before I parked. :(
The banana they used in their truon was ripe and it was a nice mix with the caramelized sugar coated wrap.
The rest of the food was great as comfort foods and put me to sleep. They will be consumed this week and I am planning to enjoy every nibble I can get.
I asked the server for other known Filipino delicacies and they said that they don't have a set menu because that is how a normal Filipino kitchen is - you eat what is served. They have a general chicken, beef, pork, seafood, or vegetable themed dish on their menu. However, you have to look what is on their display to identify what kind it is. They do take special request in advance to cook for your party.
I recommend this place to anyone...
Read moreBeen wanting to come here for months as Filipino food/Filipino restaurants don’t exist in Utah County! Came here with my aunties as it was their fIrst time in Utah and they wanted to see how Filipino food is in Utah. Pretty good fIrst time experience! Came here around 11am right when they opened and the inside was clean and inviting, with vibrant warm colors. They had a pretty good selection of Filipino entrees. We ordered beef caldereta, bikol Express, Beef nilaga, and my aunties also ordered dinugu-an. I don’t eat that but the rest of the entrees were pretty good! I actually really loved the flavor of the bikol Express as it had a good spice to it. Beef caldereta tasted the same as I remembered having it the last time I i ate it at a Filipino restaurant. Beef nilaga was also good. The Turon I didn’t really care for, because I don’t like the langka they had in it. I guess I’m used to just eating it with just the plantain inside. They did not have ta-Ho though - would’ve been perfect if they did! But I guess that would be asking too much, knowing what state we are in LOL. The customer service was good - friendly gals behind...
Read moreGot a recommendation to visit this place since it’s hard to find Filipino options in slc. Very disappointed in the overall cleanliness, customer service and quality of food. Menu was a couple pieces of paper on top of the glass counter; hard to understand what you were getting. Items were vague with no description; just pork, beef, noodle, etc served cafeteria style, but nothing was labeled.. I told the young guy at the counter it was our first time and all he did was blankly stare at us. Never smiled. Only 1 word answers when we asked questions. Asked for utensils because they weren’t in our bag and he didn’t believe us and said to check again. Asked for napkins and he just pointed to a small stack near the cash register and walked away, no words. Food was expensive, unseasoned and not fresh, it actually made me sick and in pain throwing up all night. Bathroom was disgusting that even my 3 yr old mentioned how dirty it was. Toilet paper everywhere, pubic hair and splatters on the seats and floor, no paper towels. The two older ladies who seemed to be cooks looked nice when interacting with other patrons, but that’s all I can say...
