If you take anything away from this (rather lengthy) review, the TL;DR of it is: if you go into the Exton location and ask for Katie, understand that you are in great hands! She will answer any question and be completely patient through the entire process with no pushing/rushing like you see with other individuals in sales.
Katie was our salesperson, and an absolute pleasure to work with. My wife and I came into the Exton store with less than an hour until closing time after a date night, and Katie greeted us in the lobby with a pleasant and warm welcome. Full disclosure, we only had plans to browse and get some pricing, but we were so happy with the breakdown of everything and having all the information, we moved forward with finally getting this much needed furniture. We explained our reason for the visit (completely new bedroom furniture, including a new bed), and she gave us a very informative demonstration (Smart Life) of the bed we ended up buying. She showed us the app, how the bed works, video introduction and explanation, what all it comes with, as well as another bed, so we had all the information to make the best decision for our needs, and then we walked around the entire upper floor looking at all the different bedroom furniture including chests, dressers, headboards/bed frames, and was very patient through the entire process, making suggestions based on our needs/feedback, and was very knowledgeable on everything present.
We were able to take this information home, measure, decide how to make it work, and she followed up to see how things were going and just to offer support where needed, not just pushing to make the sale which was definitely refreshing. Once we settled, she helped us through every step of the application process, how delivery will be set up, and even referred a Junk Removal company to remove all of our old stuff, and they do the heavy lifting which is worth every penny all things considered.
We are very happy with her and the entire process, but it wouldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did without her help. We’ll be getting our new furniture next week due to other obligations, but we can’t wait. She’ll be my salesperson when we go back for a couch soon enough, and I suggest you find her in-store...
Read moreWords don’t describe how infuriating my experience purchasing from Raymor and Flanigan has been. First we bought a couch and paid extra for delivery and platinum protection plan. Within a month- the couch cushions were completely deformed, sunken in, and looking as though it were a 10 year old couch. And that was with having the couch covered with a blanket the ENTIRE time we had it, and only using it a couple hours a day.
We contacted Raymor and they sent someone out who (after 2 mins) decided that the couch was defective and we could get a free replacement. We were happy about that- until again- less than a month later- the new couch was completely deformed just like the first one.
We put in another platinum service request- which was ignored by Raymor for weeks. I followed up- and this time said we don’t want another replacement- because clearly the couch itself (and the quality of Raymor furniture in general) is the issue here.
Since then- Raymor has made it their mission to make the exchange process as difficult, frustrating, and confusing as they possibly can. The 14 day time limit to have your new piece picked out or else you lose your credit is A JOKE. Not to mention that the Quakertown office initiated this 14 day time limit on my account without my approval- 2 times. AND THE OFFICE DOES NOT ANSWER THE PHONE…. EVER! HOW DOES A CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICE GET AWAY WITH THAT?
Raymor and flanigan is a bunch of scammers selling hideous, tacky, cardboard furniture. They lie about how easy the exchange process is. They only care about making the sale and getting your info for a store credit card. Once you’ve fallen for it and made a purchase- they are not interested in customer service even a little bit. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Unless you like ugly, extremely overpriced furniture that will last less than a month. Seriously- you’d get better quality furniture ordering from Temu.
The only acceptable solution to this is a REFUND which they REFUSE. I will be submitting complaints to the BBB after...
Read moreWe got a mattress and a bedroom furniture set. The mattress cost almost $4000 with insurance and a "comfort" package, which would let us reselect the mattress for a $100 fee, provided we had had the matress for more than 30 days and less than 120 days (which we qualified for).
We decided to reselect the matress this week to the exact same mattress but at a different firmness level. When we went into the shop, much to our surprise, they told us that our mattress now cost more than what we had originally paid for it and that we would have to pay the difference, plus the $100 reselect fee. They, of course, never mentioned anything like this when we purchased the insurance policies.
After quite a bit of discussion and strife, they proposed that we pay the $100 fee plus another $100. I took that because I just wanted to get it resolved, but still left the store feeling completely frustrated.
Plus, when we were considering purchasing it, we were promised a $100 gift card to sweeten the deal. That never arrived, and when I questioned them about it during the reselect process, they told me that I would not be getting it because it had not been put in the receipt. Absolutely ridiculous.
I regret ever purchasing here. It was not the first time that we had made a purchase from Raymour & Flanigan, but this has been our last.
Edit to reply back to Raymour & Flannigan: I have already tried to discuss both issues with you when I was in the store. You shrugged me off. Plus, you know exactly who I am.
So, no, I will not waste any more of my time with you and will take my future...
