Edit on 6/15/23 to respond to owner/manager and to deduct another star from the original rating:
Your response looks a lot like passive aggression, blaming us for our bad experience because we didn't complain to you before we left. I would have loved to let you know about our experience while we were there, but our server kept rushing off every time she came to the table, sometimes before we were even finished ordering that round. She definitely didn't stick around long enough for questions despite trying to grab her attention back as she scurried off, and ignoring attempts to flag her down. We intended to have entrées after our apps, had we had any appetite left, but she didn't come back to the table for half an hour and we were ready to leave by then. There was no one at the hostess stand or actively tending bar to tell when we left, and I'm not going to hunt someone down to tell them it sucked.
Perhaps you can instead work to actively interact with your patrons instead of covertly blaming them for not seeking you out. Make yourself available and visible and you can solve your own problem before Google gets involved. The internet exists and people are going to use it in ways you won't love if you aren't proactive.
Original review is below:
It was very mediocre. We ordered goat cheese fritters, fried pickle chips, pierogis, and pretzel bites. All of the food arrived barely lukewarm and the pickle chips were swimming in grease. Portion sizes are small and the quality is poor for the price. Plenty of far better places to eat and have a beer in the...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to try the Pour House in Exton last night for the first time. We have tried many different places in the area since coming to town in February and there haven't been very many that have impressed us, but we had heard wonderful things about the Pour House. First off it was a bit on the noisy side for us, but by the time my husband gets off work and we get into town it's usually during peak dinner time, plus it was Friday night and they had a live band so we didn't mind! Everything was great until the food that I had ordered apparently got over looked by the kitchen there were several tables that were seated after us that received their food and left before we ever received our food. So as you can imagine I was extremely pissed. My husband wasn't very happy about it either, however our waitress made sure his beer never ran out, and she brought his food out as soon as it was done so it didn't get cold while the kitchen cooked mine so he wasn't to mad lol. She was very apologetic about the situation, and had (I'm assuming the manager) bring out my food as soon as it was ready. The food was absolutely amazing once we finally received it and was worth the wait!!! The manager not only took my food off our bill but he also took off a couple of the beers my husband had. Despite it taking so long i definitely didn't expect him to do that, especially since the food was so great!!! I am sure this was a very rare situation and We will definitely...
Read moreWCU alumni taking a trip down memory lane. After hanging around exton we decided to stop by a restaurant I frequented in my college days. We arrived at The Pour House around 5pm, because it does get busy as the night wears on. Ample parking and very friendly staff.
We ordered the seasonal crab rangoon appetizer, the seasonal dynamite chicken flatbread, and the chicken and biscuits. The prima pils was a drink special price so we ordered that and an Allagash White. I failed to get a photo of the crab rangoon app because we were so hungry and it tasted SOoo yummy. Its 5pcs of fried golden brown white flour wrappers, stuffed with creamy cheese and shredded crab. The crab rangoon is accompanied with delicious thai chili dipping sauce. This seasonal appetizer was our favorite item during our dinner service, highly recommended.
The seasonal Dynamite Chicken Flatbread has a perfectly cooked crust that was topped with grilled chicken, delicious cheese(cant remember which sadly), ranch dressing, corn salsa, scallions, and the dynamite sauce(sweet and spicy). Very good, reccomended.
The chicken and biscuits was absolutely delicious. Fried chicken smothered in sausage gravy nestled on top of buttery biscuits, what more could you ask for with this classic entree. I loved this menu item, and I wished that it had more of that scrumptious sausage gravy! The portion you receive is more than enough to get fried chicken, gravy and biscuit in every bite, highly...
