787 Coffee — Restaurant in Westfield

787 Coffee...no need to dial the area code 787 for Puerto Rico when you can have it here in Westfield, New Jersey.

I grew up in a dominant Puerto Rican neighborhood in the LES of Manhattan. This is my first time trying their coffee. The cashier told me that they grow and harvest their own java beans.

Here is what we ordered: Mazapan Latte (sweet & nutty: does contain peanuts) Coquito Latte (Puerto Rico's Classic. It is coconut based) Horchata Latte (Rice & Cinnamon goodness)

I will say I was disappointed that these lattes did not come in the cute pouches (they ran out of them). It would have made for a cute photo op. Nonetheless, we absolutely loved every sip of our drinks.

Huge shout out to all three of the baristas we interacted with. They took the time to give us a warm welcome, say goodbye and thanked us for dropping by. Outstanding service. As per their logo: for all you "Caffeinated Humans" bookmark this place for your next coffee adventure.

Fun Fact: After having your coffee here go explore The Charles Addams (creator of Addams Family) Historic Trail in this gorgeous and quaint town. My son and I were in awe of the homes that were mostly Victorian and Craftsman style.

They also hold a fun and spooky Addamsfest every October. If you paid attention to Season 2 of Wednesday, Lurch is driving the family car with New Jersey...

First time in this cafe ,came across it as a goof but what an amazing experience. 787 is such a cute vibe an amazing addition to Westfield , love the decor . I was having a bad morning and just needed a little pick me up, I was greeted by the barista named Camila. Camila was so welcoming and patient with me I explained I wasn’t sure what to order because it was my first time there and she recommended iced coquito latte with rum beans, I was so intrigued. Camila was so sweet and welcoming she was chatting with me and so friendly that I could actually feel the stress of my morning melting away. Camilas good energy and the good vibes were a good change from my regular Starbucks . When I tasted the latte she prepared I was hooked!!!!!!!!!! That was the most delicious latte I ever had amazing ,I am so glad I came in . As I mentioned to Camila I am now going to make sure to add 787 to my daily routine ,bye bye Starbucks there is a new spot in town and the sheriff is Camila !!!!!! Camila if you see this thank you for turning my day around and for that delicious latte !!!!!...

We came in expecting a great experience based on all the positive reviews, but unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. My girlfriend and I stopped by around 7:30 a.m. last week after a workout class, genuinely excited to try the coffee. From the moment we walked in, though, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. The space was quiet and appeared empty, with a broom and leaves left near the entrance. The employee on duty did not acknowledge us and remained on her phone behind the coffee machine. When she finally came over, there was no greeting, just eyerolling and loud tapping on the screen, which made us feel like placing an order was a burden.

We ultimately decided to leave without ordering. When we let her know, her sarcastic “Have a good day” only reinforced the negative experience.

It was disappointing because we had looked forward to supporting this location, but this visit left us feeling unwelcome and discouraged...
