This review is NOT reflective of the staff at the Westfield store. They did whatever they could to try and solve our issue. This is more a reflection on the apparently archaic inventory system, lack of communication, and inability to offer customers solutions at Manny's as a whole.
We went to the store on January 29th. Picked out a nice washer and dryer set. Specifically asked if they were in stock and how soon we could get them delivered. They were in stock and we had a confirmed delivery date of February 10th. We get a reminder call with delivery window. Husband calls to confirm but no one answered at the dispatch office so left a message. They never showed up or returned the call when he asked them to. Tried calling the next day, couldn't get through to anyone so had to call the Westfield branch who connected us to a sales person. They told us our delivery date was 2/18. Not possible, receipt says 2/10. She says she can't help us. Bounces us back to Westfield branch. They call us back eventually and say they can have it delivered 2/13. We ask if they can refund the delivery and they do. We get a reminder call on 2/12. Yet no one shows up again. Driver called at 9pm saying he won't be there until midnight because he's alone and by the way the dryer isn't on the truck. We call the next day, same thing. No one know why we don't have the washer and dryer yet. They say they'll order more dryers. They'll deliver in a few days. This time they actually show up and again, it's JUST the washer and the driver claims we knew the dryer was on back order. Call back again and they can't tell us what happened. Set a FOURTH delivery date. Get a confirmation call. About an hour later they call to say the dryer is on backorder....but will give us the floor model for 10% off. We tried to argue that this hassle is worth more than a floor model at a discount and they won't go higher than 20%. We spent $1600 and waited WEEKS for them to arrive only to be given the run around. My husband left several voicemails with disbatch and tried to contact corporate and no one ever returned his calls.. We chose Manny's because we wanted to shop local and they had a larger selection than Home Depot but unfortunately this experience has been awful. We'll likely never purchase another appliance from this place. I understand short staffing and being in a pandemic, but all we wanted was communication.
Again, the folks at the Westfield store did the best they could. If you aren't in a rush for a new appliance like we were, they were fine...
Read moreI want to preface this review by saying that the gentleman in the Westfield store who helped me was wonderful and my husband said the men who eventually delivered our stove were nice. However, we were given a delivery time of 3-7 PM. My husband got to our house at 2:53 PM to find a sticker saying Manny's delivery had been there at 2:30. The delivery guy called me at 2:30 and left a message saying he was outside and would wait at our house for a few minutes. Of course, I was in a meeting so I didn't get the message. I called back the number he left at 3PM and left a message that my husband was home and could accept the delivery (I also left both my and my husband's phone numbers). No call back. I called again before 7, no answer, no call back. I then left a message on the store's voicemail about what had happened. Next morning, after not hearing anything from the store, I called to find out what happened to my stove. I was given another delivery time (I believe from 5-9). I was very upset because my stove is gas which means I had to pay someone to come and unhook my old stove and had to schedule to have someone hook up my new one so that would mean 2 full days minimum of not having a stove (not ideal for a family of 4) and also taking more time off from work to accept a new delivery through no fault of my own The delivery supervisor was unsympathetic and even argued with me but eventually was able to have the stove delivered before noon. I didn't even get an apology for the inconveniences. I'm very disappointed since I had heard good things about this company but will never buy anything here after...
Read moreWe purchased a washer and dryer from Mannys in Westfield. After 2 years my washer wasnt working. I contacted Mannys to explain the issue. We had to pay for them to come out. The interface panel went. Nobody had a reason why this would happen, nor would Mannys replace it. I had to pay over 400.00 for the piece and labor. I then contacted Maytag Corporate offices. I was basically told that things happen and would not discuss any kind of reimbursement, new washer or an extended warranty. Shame on Maytag for selling me a washer that only had 2 years of a life. The repairs were half of the cost of the dryer. I will never purchase another Maytag or recommend a Maytag to anyone. Be wary for the front panels on these washers. The repair man stated to my husband and I that he never saw this before. So we were basically sold a lemon washer. Well the interface panel was changed and now I own a 1200.00 plus washing machine. Guess what the second interface panel went. MMM..looks like I was definitely sold a lemon from Maytag and Mannys of Westfield. I dumped the Maytag Direct Drive washing machine to the dump. Went to Home Depot purchased a different brand and the sales associate was so helpful and couldnt believe that the washing machine wasnt even 3 years old and another panel went. Over 1400 reviews on the washing machine I purchased with only 3 bad reviews. I do not recommend dealing with Mannys when it comes to a Maytag washing machine, especially the Maytag Drive. This company is supposed to be for the people of...
