I ordered online and no where on the order page says they deliver within a so many mile radius. The "manager" called me and told me that they do not deliver that far. I asked her if they would be able to make an exception since there are several people that ordered. She told me no she doesn't know where Taneytown MD is, which is where i was having it delivered to. I said it is 9 miles away ( which is only 4 miles over there delivery distance) would you please make an exception. She told me that if I ordered from New York would I expect it delivered? I said ma'am New York is more than 9 miles from here. she said how am I to know where Taneytown is. I said google maps works well. She still wouldn't deliver my food. She said to pick it up when I got off work. I told her why would I do that when I get off at 8 pm and I wanted my food delivered at noon. That makes no sense to me. So, I am supposed to eat my lunch at dinner time? This whole time the "manager" is screaming at me on the phone and cussing me out while I am calmly talking to her. I told her fine Don't deliver the food, I would like my money back since they had already charged me. She said it would take 3 business days. I said that is absolutely unacceptable, you charged me for food that you are refusing to deliver and expect me to not want my money back today. I told her I would try to make it to the restaurant later to pick up my refunded money. She told me I wouldn't be able to do that because she can't take it out of the cash Drawer. I said so you take my money and refuse my food and won't refund me for three days. How does any of this make sense? I have never had a business take my money and refuse delivery of my food and then cuss and scream and yell at me while I am trying to get a refund or delivery. The place has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am in the customer service industry and I would never treat a customer like this, even if they were an angry customer. I will never do business at this place and i suggest others don't either. I have never been screamed at by an employee, let alone a manger of an establishment that is refusing to refund me and give me my food. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ALSO THINK YOU NEED TO TREAT PEOPLE AS YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED. YOU MIGHT TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THAT WORK FOR YOU, BUT YOU DON'T TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT!!!
UPDATE My coworker also ordered from this place and she received an email confirming her order. She called the restaurant and the "manager" told her they would not be able to deliver it. My Coworker asked why she never received a phone calling stating that her order was cancelled. The woman told her that she is very tired in the morning and she was sorry. Mind you this was at 11:45 am. She also told my coworker that it doesn't matter if it was 1 mile over there delivery radius they still wouldn't deliver. My coworker is also very upset with the way she was treated. Had she not called the restaurant she would have never known her order was cancelled. She was very lucky that I told her to contact the restaurant. Asian Sakae doesn't know how big the company is that we work for, so how did they know we weren't in different departments and didn't know each other. I guess they expected me to tell her which really wasn't my responsibility. The manager was very rude to my coworker as well!! I don't care how much sleep you get or don't get, and especially when it was 11:45 am, being rude to customers is never alright.
This place is horrible! I hope the rudeness was worth this horrible review from both me and my coworker!! We will both tell everyone we know to not ever dine at this...
Read moreWe have been coming to this place for years. It’s probably the best Chinese food in Carroll County. And it is decent for American Chinese food. That is not why I am writing this review. I was like 12 or 13. Our family went on a trip and we ate at a Chinese restaurant and I had crispy beef. It was so good. Insanely good. Since then I have ordered crispy beef dozens of times it is always overcooked for the beef is cut too small and it’s soaking in super sweet sauce. Like I have gone to places where I love everything else they make, but the crispy beef is just awful.
So I’ve got to the point where I don’t even try anymore. But my son ordered the crispy beef. You have to remember that this is Pellinores beast for me. I have tilted at this windmill dozens of times and always missed.

This was it. This was the best crispy beef I have had ever. I am 55 years old. Which means probably around 43 years ago, I had glimpsed the holy Grail.
And now here it is in my hand. The beef was cut thick enough so that the act of dusting it with cornstarch or whatever and then deep frying, it didn’t turn it into just a carbonized hunk of sugary goo. Because the sauce was not too sweet either. It was a perfect blend with just enough, sweetness to convince you that the chef wanted you to have a sweeter sauce, but she ended up just flirting with you.
Everything else was spot on. The carrots were cut into match sticks, and the onions were sliced thin enough so they cooked perfectly, didn’t get mushy and weren’t so stiff that you crunched through them
I had the Szechuan pork and this place uses roast pork in their pork recipes instead of raw pork and I like that OK. The only quibble I have is that I specifically told the waiter I did not want it white people spicy, I wanted it as spicy as she would give to her uncle who knows what the heck he’s talking about when he says he wants it damn spicy.
But that could just be the tools she has to work with. I have found very few Chinese restaurants that can turn up the heat like a Korean or Thai restaurant can.

Read moreIf I could give this place less than one star, I would. I placed an order over the website for delivery with my co-worker. We each placed two separate orders about 40 minutes apart. She receives a phone call from an extremely rude "manager" stating that the company cannot deliver to our address because we are "extremely too far". We are only 9 miles from their location. I then receive two e-mails stating that my delivery was confirmed and in the process. I decided to call in and ask why my order is going through fine whenever the "manager" told my co-worker that she could not deliver to the same exact address. The "manager" told me, "Oh, you too far. I told your co-worker. We only ship to 5 mile radius. If you 6 miles away, we not ship to you." I said "So, you were not going to bother to call me and let me know that my order was cancelled as well? Why are you sending me an additional order confirmation saying that the order was in the process? My co-worker never received that e-mail." The "manager" stated "I'm just tired in the mornings whenever I get here. It is so early." This is completely unacceptable customer service. Your company does not even open until 11am. I start work at 8am. I do not believe that tired is an excuse to be extremely rude to customers. She also took my co-worker's money and told her that she would not refund it for 3 business days, even though she will not deliver our food. I would not recommend this...
