I went to this Cabelas to purchase my first hunting rifle and I was, to be completely honest, a total novice when it came to picking one. I was honest and told this to the man behind the counter, Brian. He took his time and walked me through all of the rifles in my price range. He explained what I would need and what I should consider when purchasing a rifle for hunting. He even explained the ballistics of each round, his preferences and how they may relate to what I was trying to accomplish. He stayed inside of my range and did not pressure me to buy anything that was not what I was looking for.

Because I was not certain he even took me through their used stock of rifles and showed me how to check if the rifle was used correctly and maintained. On top of all of that he even got me a better price on the gun I picked, which was enough for me to get a cleaning kit, rounds and the other necessities for the rifle.

Additionally, after all of that, my girlfriend wanted to see some of the handguns to replace her aging revolver. He showed her everything that would work for her smaller frame and she could handle safely. He also explained which handguns offered which features as well as what rounds are most popular, most affordable and most effective in self defense.

I could not recommend this cabela's any more highly. Brian made me feel comfortable and taught me what I needed to know about my rifle and purchasing without making me feel foolish for asking.
