We were greeted and seated immediately at the hibachi table. Our server took our drink order and returned with them quickly. Our chef was entertaining and kept conversation going. The cocktails were delicious. $9 for a specialty martini and $7 for a bourbon & coke; which is comparable to most restaurants.
However, the chicken hibachi was $21! NY steak and chicken was $27! Which I felt was extremely expensive considering it was very small portions of meat. There was one chicken breast that was butterflied for two meals and maybe 4-5oz steak.
There was a hearty portion of vegetables but it was mostly onions with maybe 3 mushrooms and a few slices of carrots and broccoli. The rice was a ridiculously huge portion that covered the entire dinner plate and piled high. It had to be a pound of rice for only two of us with FOUR eggs in it, which made the rice taste more like eggs than anything else.
The taste of the meal overall was bland. I’m not a huge fan of the yum yum sauce but wound up using more of it than I ever have because the food had minimal seasoning. I think the yum yum sauce had been watered down, as well.
Our total bill was 67$ and a $15 tip. For $83 the meal was a disappointment. I don’t expect we will...
Read moreWhen I went there for the first I was surprised about the decor because I liked how one side of the restaurant was hibachi while the other side was just regular tables. The food from the chef wasn't really appetizing because the fried rice didn't have enough soy sauce to get the flavor. They give little vegetable and the steak was okay, but the shrimp was cooked fully and how I noticed is that when I took a bite out of it, the shrimp tasted raw and not fully cooked towards the middle and inside. The sushi was pretty good but when I got a spicy roll or whatever it was, it wasn't even spicy.
The difference from this kind of steakhouse from the other kinds are that they are more energetic with the music and a little goofy- take no offense. They acted more, childish compared to other steakhouses. Other steakhouses looks like they take their jobs for seriously because they don't act that goofy. I mean like the chefs can talk and make the customers laugh but Fusion like takes it to a while new level. I didn't really like the food-...
Read moreI recommend very highly that whether you enjoy Japanese or Chinese foods that you go to the fusion Japanese house at least once just for the experience! It is so beyond worth it, And definitely an experience to remember. And the food isn't bad either!! Lol I absolutely loved it I hadn't laughed like that in a while and my daughter who is very anxious socially and self-conscious and shy and only eats like two foods and I mean two foods in the world neither of which are Japanese by the way I had never seen her open up like that and that crowded of a social environment. By the middle of our experience she herself was speaking to late staff and asking for things and when I say things I mean sushi and she can't eat some macaroni and cheeses because of their gross she wanted to try it I couldn't believe my eyes I'm very grateful for the experience it was my mother's day dinner and that made it all the better I'll never forget it...
