I took my fiancé's wedding band there to get it duplicated since she wanted a second one to form around the engagement ring. They started off by fumbling her ring around with display rings, ultimately resulting in sending me out the door with a fake, and keeping my real one. Luckily they caught it about an hour later. I figure mistakes happen so I wasn't too upset. They then give me a price of $675 to make another ring and that it usually comes back around 10 days later. I paid in full and had a receipt for the purchase of the ring. No where on the receipt did it say the price was subject to change. Well on the 12th day, they call to inform me that they cannot make the ring for that price, and that the price would be double. So they then tell me my original ring (which they took to make it match the new one) should ship back in about a day. 3 days later, it finally comes back, and when i explain to them how much headache this has caused, including the possibility of not being able to get a ring done in time for the wedding due to the amount of time they spent before telling me they could not do the job, i didn't get much more than excuses how it wasn't really their fault and a "sorry" that would have had more meaning coming from an automated response on a telephone. I really picked up on a vibe that since i was spending only a couple hundred dollars, they could care less. Maybe they will treat you better if you wear a suit and tie and not jeans and a t-shirt.
Also, when I was getting my ring back, the two individuals working there got confused again on which one was mine, and...
Read moreLiterally such a personal experience. My husband originally got my diamond and engagement setting from Wallace Jewelers when they were going out of business 4 years ago. I loved it and I was totally obsessed with it. However, unfortunately the setting that they put my large diamond in was too weak to hold the diamond. So a few months ago my settings snapped. I took it to Howard's to be repaired since Wallace no longer exists. Todd was amazing. He helped me shop for a sufficient support band for my almost 2 carat diamond and was super informative and educated me along the way. Howard is always there as well either sitting there reading a newspaper or socializing with guests. Literally every interaction was so personal and I was super persistent on getting my ring so I called a lot with a lot of questions. I'm sure I drove them crazy but they were so tolerant and patient with me. We did a solid platinum band and had the diamond cut using their "facets of fire" technique. Lord have mercy this ring sparkles!!!! I'll never go anywhere else for my jewelry needs!!!! You...
Read moreVery unprofessional to say the least. First, I was quoted $80-100 for my ring to be resized (standing there face to face with ring in hand). Second, this was on a Monday and I was told I’d have it back the following Friday (reality was that it didn’t even get sent out for sizing till the next Monday.) so now my ring has finally made it to the third party jeweler whom can actually accomplish the sizing (12 days after drop off)... just to receive a call asking to confirm the ring to be sized for an estimated $210!! Wow. Needless to say, I have called and asked for my ring to be returned & now have to wait four days to get my ring back in the original condition it was dropped off in!! Poor communication. Failed business. Inexperience. Wouldn’t recommend to even...
