I was needing a new gym bag and decided just to stop at Burlington to get a bag and some bathing materials. I was able to find a bag that I liked and went to the shampoo and conditioners, and weāre looking at the wide variety of options that youāll have. I was looking for a bargain but yet something that smelled good. As I was looking through the items smelling the items, I picked up a box which was smushed damaged and I looked inside and as I did Rachel, the employee at your store, walked over and told me I cannot open up or smell any items at the store. I informed her that I did not open the box. The box was already open and I was just making sure everything was in there. She responded with an attitude Saying Iāve been watching you for a while and have noticed that youāre smelling items over here. I told her am I not allowed to smell any items because how am I supposed to know if I like the sense or not and she stated thatās correct youāre not allowed to smell the items, you just have to buy them. I responded with that is insane. Iāve never heard of a rule like that. People smell items all the time and all major retail stores such as Walmart she said Walmart is different and I asked how? She said it just is and was just walked away. This was only the beginning of some of the shopping that I wanted to do because I also wanted to look through the clothes and see if there was anything that I liked. I did start walking to the clothes, but she was watching me like a hawk watching its prey as I went to the middle of the store. I went ahead and checked out with the items that I had at hand and Tanglea and supervisor, Jennifer were very amazing. Iāve talked with Jennifer at checkout before at a different visit and sheās always been nice. It was my first interaction with Tanglea but she was extremely friendly, happy and was able to calm my nerves some. With Rachel Iāve never felt so unwanted in a store as if Iām stealing when I have more than enough money to buy 100 of what I was going to purchase, to feel this way thereās a horrible filling for me or any other customer to feel. If she has done this to me, I wonder how many people she has done this to that has not spoke up and said some thing. I do not feel that this is the first time that she...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had purchased a lot of items and Scott was so patient with me putting my items on the counter. My son who has an disability was having a melt down and Scott was very understanding and patient still with me. He made eye contact with both me and my son. He treated us with respect my son is blind and he treated him as a human . He made great conversation and even offered to help me to the car. Another employee was trying to rush him saying we have customers I am a customer as well weather I am leaving or coming and that was very rude I had a lot of merchandise and my son who is blind and had to get out of the basket sorry I was not fast enough but Scott ignored her and still proceeded to help me. Thanks Scott I will most definitely come back and tell everyone the great customer service you provided me and my son great associate you rock Scott.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI like Burlington, but my experience is on the decline. On recent visits, the store has been junkie. Clothes are thrown about everywhere and not in their place. Today I visited and tried to get a shopping cart. Several of them had trash from previous customers. I finally found one, only to find out it was squeaky. I took it back to find the only other clean one had rubber coming off the tires. Literally every other one of them had trash in them. I turned around to ask one of the two employees standing right by them if they ever clean them out. She shook her head no. She didn't even have the courtesy to talk to me. She walked over to look at them and and turned back around to continue doing nothing with her other coworkers. The other employee never acknowledged me. A discount store does not have to be trashy. They really need...
