Five Below — Local services in Whittier

Well, 2nd time I'd ever been there, since they 1st opened years ago. The 1st was in Montebello, off the 60 fwy. I just walked in to looky loo👀👁️. Had no intention to buy anything! Was checking out all the stores whatever Christmas stuff.☝️..I browse at every little shelf & corner.🤷. First, thing, caught my eye was a novelty Xmas T-shirt blouse! I love Gingerbread Cookie decor. Wow, long sleeve for this weather🤔💭..goes well w/ some pants I already had👍..ech🤔?☝️I could wear this Christmas Day; and $5😲🎄Hey, ya😏😊 To my surprise, then I found a novelty collectors toy from Jurassic Park..well actually 2 items. For a stocking stuffer surprise for a neighbor! Was not even thinking of it! There it was, amazing.😲 COOL BEANS👍. Then I found ladies socks. All the perfect colors to match all my pants & top combos. I love blending from head to toe. Let me tell you😏🙌☺️..I was a HAPPY CAMPER! Ended up spending about $22 dollars I had not planned on spending . But I found items that were in my heart and for good reasons. And there they were when I least expected to buy anything. I left there very HAPPY, CONTENDED, and SATISFIED--THE END🤫☝️😊 One more thing: Tell a friend, go together and check it out...

This store treats it's employees horribly and if this is any example of how Five Below as a corporation handles the people that make it run that is a sad state for the company. Only at five below will an 18 year old be reprimanded for not confronting a person with a fake dollar bill. Only at Five Below would they expect this kid to then go outside, and wait for a ride, in a shady part of town at 10 pm where a person has been turned away for a fake bill. Yeah, I'm sure they're not waiting around to jump the kid. Five Below doesn't put safety first. They expect you to do the unreasonable. When in quarantine over a possible covid diagnosis, a manager tells you to "find coverage." Yeah, in late 2021, you're responsible for possibly being exposed to COVID-19. Other respectable companies like Starbucks at this point were still being paid covid leave, I guess this Five Below would prefer to sweep it under the rug? Not to mention the company kool-aid, "Have fun!" Have you ever seen the episode of Spongebob, Krabby-O-Mondays? It's like that, and almost everyone buys into it.

I had heard good things about 5 Below and was excited to visit. I brought my little niece to the Whittier location but we left empty-handed. Everything was picked over, shelves were not restocked. Items were not interesting to my niece at all. We combed the entire place and could not understand what people liked. Maybe other locations have different things? Or online store has cute...
