Tacos Baja — Restaurant in Whittier

Tried this place because it was down the street from where I work, and there was plenty of good reviews. Went inside just before 7pm, and there was about 4 patrons ahead of me. No worries, probably just a popular place. Ordered a shrimp burrito, paid and sat down at a table. I was excited to eat the food, so I got my napkins, jalapenos and glwas ready to enjoy my meal. The table was filthy and there were SO many flies buzzing around and landing on me. Waited about 20 minutes before my burrito came out. Grabbed my food to go, and ate in my car. Burrito was decent. Been to better places. Later that evening, I ended up getting sick and vomited. Ended up sick for 2 days. I would not step foot in this place again. I eat with my eyes before putting food in my mouth, and the environment completely destroyed my appetite. I forced myself to eat after being unable to eat an actual meal throughout the day. Avoid this place unless you're dying...

Don’t order online with DoorDash tab through google for tacos Baja. I ordered this week with DoorDash and my order went through. When I went to pick up my order they were closed, earlier than their normal hours. I called and spoke to Jaden at Tacos Baja and he refused to refund or fulfill the order. Basically told me it wasn’t his problem and to deal with DoorDash. At the end of the day it was his problem because my $48 went to Tacos Baja account for something that they never fulfilled. I also want to mention that on the emailed receipt which is run by DoorDash it didn’t even have DoorDash phone number, if you had any issues it only listed the restaurants phone number which obviously I still called thinking it was DoorDash only to find out it was the restaurants which had closed...

When they initially opened both restaurants in Whittier, their food quality, customer service and the cleanliness of their establishment was on point! Little by little the quality of their food lost it's flavor, restaurant cleanliness was not important and their customer service had developed an ego. My family and I are no longer customer's here because we're all about customer service, restaurant appearance and most importantly the quality of the food. Their prices and specials are reasonable, that's about it. What this establishment is lacking is a welcoming and clean environment, a friendly staff and simply going back to basics. Be humble and remember where you came from, establishment like yours...
