Ohana Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Whittier

I have not been to this location in years. As I was going to throw away some trash, a female employee with red hair goes " uh uh, uh uh, no, throw the trash away outside!" First of all, that was very rude. You don't talk to customers like they are children. Secondly, why were there trays over the trash can openings? If you close at 9pm, how about taking out the trash at 9pm? That way you don't inconvenience, disrespect, and belittle your customers who are just trying to enjoy their food and be courteous throwing away their trash. It ruined the mood of everyone at our table. It ruined our experience. We could no longer enjoy our food because we felt belittled and disrespected. She pretty much ruined our visit. I will be contacting management tomorrow about our terrible customer service and treatment. Sometimes people are in such a hurry to go home at the end of their shift, they will cover the trash can openings with trays. If I were a business owner, I would 100% want customer surveys on all my receipts. You don't know how many fast food establishments I have been to with rude employees. Rude employees are not good for business. Most of the time the supervisors and managers are already aware of the problem employees. Most of the time having customer surveys on your receipt will show the same employee getting multiple complaints. Let the stats speak for themselves. I would not recommend coming to this location with your friends or family. They should actually give me a free meal for ruining my visit. Actually I don't care about that. How terrible is that? Hi there out goer's. This Ohana ( which means family ) Hawaiian Barbecue is so tasty, just like your back yard barbecue but without all rhe work. The only draw back is, no inside dining which almost everywhere is the case now days. Praying this is a thing of the past very soon. I know all are praying, wishing and hoping for the same. But gettin back to the eat's lol you can't go wrong here, this food is off the charts delicious with ready to go or made up orders on the spot speical orders. Fast service and friendly family style service. Go down and pick some up you won't regret it. Yummmmmy 😄😄 as always...

Yesterday was my husband’s birthday, I surprised him with his favorite food in Whittier!!

Customer service was awesome!! I called in the order ( The family meal deal) it was ready as promised in 20 minutes.

We have 5 people in our family.. that meal tasted great and we still have left overs!! For only $38.00 thats a great deal!!!

The cashiers were very friendly and she remembered that I had mentioned that it was my husband’s bday and wished him a great bday!!
