I went in to this Spectrum store today to exchange my modem because my old one was outdated. The first man I spoke with noticed that I’m paying over $111 per month for internet access only and offered to see if there was a better deal he could offer me. While he and I were discussing options a second man slid into our conversation. This second man was extremely pushy, and kept escalating the conversation around a particular package he wanted to sell me - 1G internet, tv, pushing to add on streaming services because they work so well with 1G… great for gaming, yada yada.
Anyway, eventually this pushy guy has the nerve to call me HOSTILE. I told him I never asked him to slide into our conversation and when I refused to speak with him anymore because I told him that he was rude for calling me HOSTILE and would he just step away, this is not an appropriate training opportunity or whatever he’s trying to prove or provide in front of me, he had the NERVE to say, “By the way, I hope you enjoy your internet going up next month.” I felt very threatened by this comment.
I am appalled that Spectrum hires and uses these tactics on their customers. It is disgraceful. To call your customers names and threaten them financially is beyond acceptable business practices. Shame on you. Thank goodness the first man I spoke with was kind enough to finish exchanging my modem so I accomplished what I...
Read moreThis store is a joke as far as customer service is concerned. The payment kiosk is offline 50% of time. The kiosk takes under a minute to process a payment and you get you leave. When the kiosk is down then you have to wait until your name is called, and that could take half an hour depending on how many customers are waiting. Once your name is called the staff usually takes more time than neccessary to process a payment and its frustrating especially after waiting 20 minutes for your turn. They need a printer in the front office rather than disappearing behind a door for two more minutes to retrieve the customer copy. There is literally no "PEP" with this particular staff. I missed the bus by 30 seconds because this store is soooo slow. Never get involved with a company (Charter/Spectrum) which has John C. Malone as a controlling shareholder. The guy is notorious for penny pinching and his businesses show it. Updated 1/16/23 Hoping the great service I got on my last visit continues so it's only fair that I raise my ratings from 1 star to 4 stars. The staff was polite and attentive and busy at their tasks. As there were no other customers inside I was immediately asked to be served after walking in and the provided service was just as fast as the kiosk payment system....
Read moreWorst customer service I have ever seen. Some 3rd party ordered me spectrum service without my authorization and I have to spend time to call spectrum customer service how I should return the box of equipment that was sent to me without me asking for it. I was told to return to a spectrum store. I found the nearest one to me: the Whittier store. To my great surprise my experience with the store manage Hugo Vazquez was the worst ever. He tried everything to annoy me. He insisted that I must follow his instruction to take this to an UPS place while I am already in a spectrum store according to the instruction given to me by the customer service, as if I am a littlie soldier reporting to commander. After much conversation, he finally decided to accept the equipment. He then told me I must take back the cartoon box in which Spectrum sent me the equipment. Imaging how insulting this could be to me when Spectrum sent me something I did not ask for and I am already doing work to bring the equipment back to them and they still want me to take home their trash ? If I were his boss, I will fire him immediately. His job is to keep the customer happy. He has been doing the exact...
