E Sushi Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Whittier

First time here since new ownership. Was able to get a table fairly quick, took awhile before we were approached for drink order and was able to squeeze in a couple appetizers. The restaurant was full so it took a while to get the appetizers and order the rest of the food.

Twice they brought items to the table that were not ordered, so lucky we had a photo of our order so were able to make sure we got the correct order.

The sushi was alright, not the best or the worst that I’ve had so left pleased and would return to try other items on the menu. I think next time I’ll sit at the bar and see if the service is...

I have been coming to the sushi spot for years and this has always been my secret place that I share with clients and good friends anytime we're looking for a special treat. Most of the inventory is flown in from Japan and all of the chefs are trained and very friendly. I've met with the owner John and he is the best host and restaurant owner any customer could ask for. Ordered kobe nigiri. Good. Ordred omakase sushi B. Very bad. Fish was not fresh. I hope i don't get sick from the fish. Didn't finish it. It was slimy. It had no tendernece. In general their food it's salty. Their sapporo premium was flat. Nice workers, but food is not worth it and the price is about average. And now now they tried to charge me for sake i didnt order.
