Awesome. I must be the only person on this planet, who has not dined in at the Habit. Located conveniently across from See's Candy in the Whittwood Town Center on Whitter Blvd. Sadly there was no handicapped parking to be had and we had a fair walk to the Habit. Being disabled, it is a matter of convenience and safety if parking was designated near this eatery. Staff young, enthusiastic, friendly. Being my first time, I asked for recommendation from our cashier. She recommended the double Char burger ( you can substitute for white Cheddar) no extra fee. There are sandwiches, salads also. We also got fries and onion rings. WOW. GENEROUS PORTIONS! My mouth was watering b4 getting to the table. Various fountain drinks to choose from. Quick prayer and the first bite, barely made it. This burger is not just huge, but packed with secret sauce, fresh vegetables, fresh buns, double patty, double cheese, and yes... pickles. Yum. Ranch dressing for fries and onion rings. The best. I will never go back to Farmer Brothers. This was far superior in every way. Surprise. Not able to finish my burger, fries and onion rings. Those three stars are for the woman who took my order over the phone, the young lady at the cash register, and the woman who checked to make sure all my items were in my bag. Now for the manager on deck, Justin, zero stars. First time calling an order over the phone, and paying for it over the phone, that all went fine. Coming in, went to the side counter, asked the young man dressed in black, "I'm picking up a food order, do I have to get in line? I paid for it over the phone". "Yes you do, it's our protocol."he told me. I get in line and think to myself, "well this isn't very fast". Girl at the counter tells me, "oh, are you picking up? You just go to that side counter."(where I was originally) I guess Justin is the only one following protocol. I asked the woman who checked my bag, if I had to get in line to pick this up. I ordered online for take-out on a Thursday evening. I arrived at the time specified, and my order was not ready yet. I stood at the counter for about 1 minute before being helped. About 5 minutes later, my order was ready. I arrive home within a few minutes to find...cold buns on my burger. Fries were really brown and appeared to be rather old, not fresh at all. Then, the Caesar side salad was completely drenched in dressing. I would have assumed that everything would be hot and fresh since I had to wait a bit for my order to be ready. I am very disappointed in the quality of my order since it costs quite a bit for 3 orders of burgers, fries, and side salads. I visited the La Mirada location a few days prior and did not have the same outcome. Service at that location was great, and the food was hot and fresh. All of that on a busy Saturday night.
