Sorry for typos but I have repeated myself multiple times, and I am mentally exhausted dealing with you guys. You have caused me nothing but grief. All I want is peace of mind that I'm safe in my home, and all I've gotten is stress, problem after problem, and losing money.
The problems started at my original address. During the installation, not only were the guys creepy, they told me if I ever moved I wouldnt be charged for it. They would just take my equipment and move to new house because I told them my lease is only a year. Also I had to call in about 4 times. One of the batteries went out on the sensor. You guys told me batteries last 3 to 5 years. It went out at 6 months. I was informed of the wrong sensor that had a low battery so when I replaced I kept having issues. Defenders came out to find it was the wrong sensor. Then came the problem of moving and the fee. Countless phone calls and time spent. Told i cant extend contract as well I would have to renew for another 3 years. scam! Spoke with a chase moody who said for all 13 windows and 4 doors its be 49 a month with 0 down for equipment. Called back later and no one can access quote. Found employee and said would call me back and never did. Then told quote no good. So finally got a little relief from someone who finally got their manager gave me a small amount of money to take off for equipment and would give me card for transfer fee. Defenders was suppose to show up at my apartment to u install and then install to house. Guess what, they went to house. So had to deal with that during my doctor appointment. So they get to apartment then do transfer to house. Told me a list of things he would do, and yet he didnt do all of them. AMD wow I find I have to pay over 2 grand for equipment. Scam! Then when I ask about monthly fees says I have to talk to billing. Was told since cats are under 60 lbs I wouldnt have to worry about motion sensor. Go to a movie, silent my phone. Get out of movie, cops had been to my place because motion sensor went off.
Just problem after problem and you guys taking my money. On one call I had to defend myself being a human being and no a cash machine. You have devastated my mental health. I broke down in tears and had an anxiety attack. No one takes ownership or responsibility and no one will help me.
I thought finally I'm getting help when a manager got in touch with me. She promised to refund certain things. She said she would send an email to verify. Never got email. Had to email her, then she responds but talks about refunding different things. Our call was recorded. Called and emailed her. No response. She emailed me shortly before closing. I'm done. Read morePrevious protection one customer since 2010, had great afffordable service with great customer service and technician support for 14 years. ADT has now taken over and nothing but terrible experiences in less than a year. Anytime you call customer service it’s unclear of where you’re calling because they are never clear English speaking. They are not attentive or seem to know what’s going on because of long pauses and confusion as if they’re reading computer prompts. Now to get to the real issue. I was having an issue with my main panel and after speaking with a rep for over 30 minutes getting no problems trouble shooting I asked what the charge would be to have a technician come out since troubleshooting over the phone was not working. They stated there was a $59 charge and then the cost of any equiptment needed from the call. A technician comes out, tests the entire system says everything is fine just need a new panel battery and that the battery is $55 however there’s a $150 minimum labor charge and it is due at the time of the visit. I pay the $220 after tax and once he left a glass break sensor in my basement randomly started going off when no noise or vibrations were happening. I stopped arming the alarm until I could find the time to call ADT and discuss the issue. I spent almost an hour on the phone with a customer service agent who at many times kept asking me to repeat my name, what the issue was, and saying she was “pulling up my account” and getting nowhere. Finally halfway through the call when she had already told me my own personal information she asked me to verify my over the phone password…very secure procedures….yet still no action or attempted resolve to the issue. I called him that next day and they told me that they would get me credited back and the person said I’ll take 7 to 10 days well 7 to 10 days later Still have not been refunded my money. One person said all it will take four months to get my $150 refund total BS. So then I called again and they said oh it’ll be refunded tomorrow onto my account well tomorrow’s went past five days so then I called him again and talked to some manager And they said it hasn’t been refunded well of course it hasn’t been refunded but they said they didn’t process it but all the other four people said they processed to get me credited back $150 now 20 some days into this I still have not been refunded so I sent a message to the CEO of ADT he’s had that message for over a day now and still, I have not been refunded. I would highly suggest to never ever use this company. I would give them an F if I could or zero star, if I could, give them not even worth the one star I’m giving them. I would like to get out of my contract which they told me it’s just like a year long contract no, it’s a 36 month long contract. Here’s what they returned back to me you would think for all the inconvenience they would give me at a month or two free but they’re heartless and their customer service is bad. Just another reason why not to use them!
