Amani Traders Appliances — Local services in Wichita

I spent over $3000 on three appliances at Amani traders approximately one year ago. I bought a side-by-side refrigerator freezer. I also purchased a smart lg washer and dryer. There was issues with the installation on the dryer in that the wrong plug was used and created electrical problem that shorted some things out …they repaired the dryer which was good. The vinyl in my kitchen floor was torn during the installation. I was able to repair that. I’m having issues with the washer in that the vibration sensor is going out. The refrigerator freezer has been icing up and making loud noises. It’s fine once we defrost ice, I can’t say that I’ve had a good experience for the money that I spent. I really wish I had just went and got a very simple, basic washer and dryer and refrigerator.

i’m going to update this review after the response by the owners: I highly disagree as another electrician came out and looked at it, put on a new power cord. Plugged it in and there has never been an issue with the electricity anywhere in the house after that. Nor was there an issue prior to that. As for what to do regarding the dryer, all those things were already done and I’ve contacted an appliance repair person and he’s coming to fix it. I only posted the review in response to the issues I was having now, and since you kind of put a spin on what happened, I’ll be a little bit more in depth in my response. There was also an issue during the purchase, which should’ve been a big red flag in that instead of applying my down payment, you guys in air attempted to deduct from my checking account the entire balance of the purchase. I didn’t get to upset about it because you did correct it and withdrew it, but it kind of speaks to The whole atmosphere of people not really being on top of their game. Even in so much as the measurements I gave to you guys to assure me that my appliances would fit where I needed them to go. Especially with the big side-by-side refrigerator freezer, And the appliances don’t fit and have to be situated where the dryer actually interferes with the complete opening of the refrigerator freezer door on the right side. I gave you guys my measurements and you assured me that they would work there. If there wasn’t room for it I would have purchased just a regular refrigerator not a side-by-side. Now I do appreciate that you fix the dryer, but it was not because of the faulty wiring here it was because the wrong Cord was installed and crammed into an outlet that it wasn’t meant to go into. If there was any kind of issues with the wiring in this house, we surely would’ve seen it within the year that we’ve been here or during the three months we were here working on the house, using Power tools. It's been a while since I purchase my washers, washer and dryer. I hesitated to say anything but this is not a good place. I'm disabled and I couldn't really afford to get the washer and dryer but we had just gotten out of a transitional home, and they had to layaway program. The lady was very nice at first and said that she offered warranties, and explain to me that if I had any problems I would have 30 days, and then there'd be a year after. Not letting me know there was anything like a deductible. I know it sounds dumb but I never purchased anything like that so I didn't know. And I've had problems with the washer and dryer, when I've called to have her help me the first time she did something you'd help me. The second time he came and he said that I can have it fixed myself for a small price of the part from Amazon. But I'm on a wheelchair, I don't know how to do these things. So she offered to have it done but I had to pay $100, which I didn't have. I kept calling her she kept forwarding my calls, and eventually I found somebody to help me fix it. But man I been having problems with the washer and the dryer and they're brand new and when I explain to her she acted, no she basically said it was because I did not know how to take care of it.
