Late June 2025 update. On our way back west so stayed here again after a night in Memphis. One of these days, I want to stay here a few nights and check out the city more. Still doing the construction so if you sleep late and are light sleeper, it may wake you up. We also ate dinner in the hotel bar and it was great along with the service. I had the pork chop meal that I couldn't finish and it came with risotto with mushrooms and it also came with some asparagus which were perfect. It was too much to finish after having the French onion soup which I enjoyed since it was not as salty as some I've had before. My lady had the fettuccine with shrimps (haha) and we had some drinks so great night overall. Have not been to other hotels in Wichita but this is def my favorite. Thanks, Jun 2025 update: The hotel is undergoing upgrades, so if you are a light sleeper, we aware that they are doing construction and you won't be able to sleep in. Otherwise, the hotel updates are excellent and I was in one of the new rooms in a corner room, which was awesome. There is also a carnival going on in the parking lot next door and there was fireworks show about 2230 and you can get a helo ride. The river looks higher than the last visit and some of the river walk is blocked off. The new rooms are amazing and this hotel is still a great value in an amazing location along the Argkansas river. This time I also had the hotel breakfast buffet and the corn dog looking thing was amazing. Great hotel and great staff so highly recommended. Great hotel in a great location along the Arkansas river. You have easy access to the river to walk and across the river is a minor league baseball team...no game that day to catch it for free though. The hotel has a hot tub, pool and nice workout area with free weights and machines. We were headed back west so didn't get to explore too much about the city but did walk the river a bit and ate some chow at the hotel in the restaurant. Had a Ham and Cheese, some buffalo chicken legs and my kid has the quinoa salad. All was delicious food with great service. As for parking, the valet is the cheapest I've seen at any hotel (14 bucks) and there is plenty of self parking out front or in the garage next door to the hotel. If you ever in Wichita, this is def a great place to stay....

I decided to read through the reviews of the hotel and I was surprised to see two weeks ago someone else complained about bed bugs. The exact floor that we are in. I wonât be surprised if itâs the same room. Itâs so sad that Nina pretty much was blaming us for bringing bed bug even after seeing the video evidence.
Update 1* Nina from Hyatt called and said their investigation found no signs of bedbugs. She implied that we may have brought them in ourselves and showed no remorse throughout the conversation. We stayed in room 1801, and I genuinely hope others report it if they experience similar issues.
She mentioned they would offer some points to our account to use toward a future stay, but the overall response felt dismissive and unsatisfactory. We had a great experience when we stayed at this hotel for New Yearâsâwe loved our corner room so much that I immediately booked again for July 4th as a special treat for my family to watch the fireworks.
Unfortunately, our second stay was incredibly disappointing. That night, bedbugs appeared in our room. We contacted the front desk right away, and while they did switch our room, it was to a significantly lower-value option than what we had originally paid for. The entire ordeal caused us to lose sleep, and we were left feeling uncomfortable and frustrated.
We were told a manager would contact us, but no one ever did. After following up ourselves, we finally received a call from Nina, who apologized but said there wasnât much she could do. She even implied that guests sometimes bring bedbugsâan unfair and unhelpful suggestion, especially given the clear evidence we have on video of an active infestation.
This experience was extremely disappointing, especially after such a great first visit. We expected more in terms of both cleanliness and...

This place is beautiful. I stayed one night and they had some kind of Heartland Ball or whatever that same night. I booked the King Corner room with the nice view of the city and water. Ladies at the front desk were friendly. Female at the coffee shop or whatever was extremely nice and very welcoming.
Room: Had a tv, king bed sofa that can turn into a bed, table, chair, safe, small fridge, closet, bottled water, coffee maker and pods. Bathroom: Has a walk in shower, sink, toilet, and all toiletries. Sink works normally but drain needed to be cleaned (water was draining extremely slow).
After checking in, my wife and I walked around to check the place out, the hotel had a touch screen sort of information thing on the wall next to one of the entrances near the parking garage. One of the male workers asked us if we needed helpâŚI replied yes we are trying to find the pool. The employee replied, are you staying here? I didnât like his response because it didnât make us feel welcomed anymore. Make me feel like we were being discriminated. Maybe itâs because of my cargo pants and hoodie I was wearingâŚidk. It doesnât match how classy the hotel is? Why in the hell would I ask if I didnât stay there. Anyways, I said, yes, we just checked in and are looking around. He then said, I believe itâs closed and we can ask the front desk for more info.
Overall, it was a great experience and great view. Breakfast buffet was awesome. So much options to choose fromâŚeggs, bacon, pancakes, French toast, etc. The female at the we call it coffee shop was the most welcoming and professional of them all. Others were nice also but she was the one that stood out for us. I would...
