Food Lion — Local services in Williamsburg

My mind is blown at the reviewers that are complimenting this store. Since the "so-called" renovation...prices are now absurdly high. They are quite often out of products (that could be personal)..the self checkout is NEVER working at full capacity. Good customer service...IF they see you. I've been going to this store for almost 10 years... ONLY for convenience (and it used to be much better, since fake renovation, they have fallen off). Go to the Food Lion down the street (by Staples) they ACTUALLY did renovate.. rarely are out of stock and actually have a small hot bar. Prices just as good and they seem to have WORKING self check-out! Those that are saying they have good prices..must never go in other stores. FL prices are now comparable to Harris Teeter or Publix and those stores...

Normally when I travel I can count on Food Lion for a clean bathroom, fresh and delicious Food Lion brand roast beef, fresh sliced cheese, 2 pretty apples and i can get back on the road, whith a wonderful fresh and low cal meal. Didnt happen at Williamsburg Va by Premium Outlet. The bathroom smelled disgusting and looked worse. After calmly counting to 200, I was still standing at the deli while watching a male and female employee do something with green icing through the window. Yes, they saw me and called no one. But did keep talking to each other. Walked away, but was able to purchase my apples. When i commented all this to a store employee, she informed that she uses the bathroom next door at Subway. Pitiful,...

This store is my weekly stop for sure! Not my favorite spot but it's convenient, close by and has most of my weekly list products! Through this year we've seen many improvments this store chain made it. Looks more clean, prices stayed bout the same and product line got expended ! Staff is good but could be little bit more frendly . Visiting other stores made me give them 4 stars ...It would be only 3 but cuz they did all improvments , they deserve 4. Still believe they can be better and hopefully they...
