I came to Rob at Hoyer's with a really scary situation - I needed wedding photos recovered from a formatted SD card. From the minute I spoke with him on the phone before I came into the shop, it was evident he was very invested in helping me and concerned about my situation. He was able to run my card that day and was very good about keeping me updated on the situation, which had me on pins and needles - definitely the most nauseating event in my career. The story ends well, and I am left feeling the utmost gratitude for Rob and his persistence to help me. He was truly genuinely kind, understanding, and it meant the world to me knowing he was doing all he could to help. From a financial standpoint, I would have sold a kidney to retrieve these clients' photos, but the bill was shockingly reasonable and I did not feel taken advantage of at all. While I have previously done all of my photography purchases online through large companies, I will now be switching to Hoyer's after such a wonderful customer service experience. There is truly nothing like small town, real human connections and local business support. Thank you, thank you, thank you Hoyer's for such caring treatment! Looking forward to coming back...
   Read moreMy visit to this camera shop was one of the worst retail experiences I’ve ever had. The owners were dismissive, impatient, and shockingly rude. At one point, I overheard one of them muttering under their breath in a way that made it clear they were making condescending assumptions about me—including a demeaning comment suggesting they viewed me as "special needs."
I came in looking for help with camera equipment, but instead of receiving knowledgeable or respectful service, I was met with eye rolls, sighs, and a complete lack of professionalism. A good business should welcome all customers with patience and courtesy, but these owners acted as if my presence was a burden.
There’s no excuse for this kind of behavior. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and strongly advise others to do the same. Shops like this don’t deserve...
   Read moreI couldn't have chosen a better place to make my purchase. They talked me through everything I needed to know about what I'm getting into. The help is unreal. Everyone there is so nice and it's definitely THE place to go. I feel so at home whenever I walk into that store, other stores should look up to Hoyers for customer service tips. When it comes to that, Hoyers is hands down at the top of the list. Friendly, helpful, and know what they're doing. I could write about how fantastic this place is all day.
