The reaction of the cashier #1 to my wanting to return 2 items was Strange. I purchased two white top and I had the receipts in here. These top were purchased for a child that attends my church. I was under the assumption that she wore a uniform to school, So an effort to assist a needy family quickly purchased Is button down and a turtle neck.. It turns out that her school did not have a dress code. So the 2 shirts were never taken out of the bag or even out of my car. Flash towards today, I'm in willoughby so I decided to return this purchase. The cashier barely greeted me. Then examined the stuff like I did something to it. Then proceeded to tell me that the turtle neck that I purchased had a second turtle neck. I explained to her that they only sold me one item. So she rolled her eyes and called her manager. The manager came up like it was going to be a normal transaction. Then she proceeded to say that they should have adjusted the price.Because they only sold me one. Next she proceeded to tell me that there was no way that they could possibly return it.It has to go back to the other store. I'm not sure what t j maxx's policy is but I still think that the way that I was spoken to could have been better. I'm the one who was cheated. There was never any attachment for a second turtle neck. Plus, the cashier who sold it to me didn't catch that. Both of my items were about the same price. So I didn't question that one should been cheaper. It sucks to have to drive out of my way to return these items. It doesn't seem like the ladies at the Willoughby location like people who...
Read moreI love the products they stock at T.J. Maxx. For home decor it doesn't get much better than this. I get so many beautiful things for unbelievable prices. I don't have to worry about decorating my home with mass produced items which allows me to create a unique look. This particular T.J. Maxx on the other hand seems to always have lines snaking through the front part of the store. I don't know why it takes so long to get checked out but you want to make sure you have some time to spare when you stop here for shopping. I had to put my things down and leave yesterday before I could check out and then come back after I picked my kids up to complete my purchase because it was taking forever to get through the line. This store always seems to be a little dirty as in not clean, and the hospitality of the staff differs from day to day depending on who is working and what manager is on duty. There is one manager in particular that could use some customer service training but other than that it hasn't stopped me from visiting the store or decreased the frequency of my visits. So for this location I would say avoid bringing kids or spouses who don't like shopping and be prepared to wait in...
