Piggy-backing off of all the other wonderful reviews about Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in Willowbrook, this company has been such a profound and outstanding institution for our two children since day one. We started out as one of the first families to enroll before they completed construction on the building back in 2015, back when our oldest son was 1½ . We had migrated from a daycare in Willow Springs because LSP was actually down the block from our house at the time. It was a no-brainer with the spacious facility, fantastic Reggio Emilia curriculum, friendly staff and camera system that allowed us to stay connected with our children while we were at work.
For the last six years, the staff has always been so communicative with us about the kids, addressing any issues that arose or just simply updating us on how they are doing. When the pandemic hit, LSP stayed open for essential workers and for that we are greatly appreciative. We moved residences in 2018 and had our second child, but kept both kids at LSP despite the 30-min difference in our work commute because we knew it was worth it and was best for our family. We are only now departing because our oldest is in elementary school near our home and the commute/drop off would’ve been tough with his summer camp schedule.
If we ever move back to the area or if you know someone in the area in need of excellent childcare, please keep Little Sunshine’s Playhouse mind. They go above and beyond for the children and their employees. We, like so many others in the community, are so proud to have been part of...
Read moreToo many great things to say about the staff at LSP! Now that I have a second one there (infant age) they have continued to show their expertise and warmth toward my daughter during her transition period. I didn't put my son in that early so it was just as much a transition for me as it was for my daughter.
I would call daily to check in on how she was doing in the beginning and Ms. Colleen, Ms. Genna, Ms. Lizzy, and Ms. Pam would right away go check on her, update me, and put me at ease. Also, she sometimes would get a little sad and miss me, so Ms. Genna would go and cuddle with her/put her to sleep and make her feel more secure and at home...which means the world to me knowing my baby feels comforted.
Her teachers, Ms. Colette, Ms. Jeannine, and Ms. Jessica know how hard it is to see my baby cry at drop off and they always make sure to write extra little notes on how she did that day and give me daily verbal progress reports of how she is adjusting when I pick her up. I can be a picky/extra special parent sometimes :) and they never have once made me feel bad for it, they are always very accepting and understanding. They treat my daughter as if it were one...
Read moreVery happy with LSP Willowbrook. My son has been attending since he was a baby and we have yet to have anything but good experiences with this daycare! As he has grown and moved up to new classrooms I am continually amazed that the teachers in the next room are just as wonderful! The building is absolutely BEAUTIFUL...looks just like the pictures online. And, the classrooms are always clean. We are always greeting with such a warm and inviting hello from Ms. Steph, Ms. Diana, and Ms. Jenny (and all teachers/staff at reception). Ms. Isabel is a sweet, caring, and hard working teacher. It is apparent that she cares very much about the kids in her class but also cares about each one making progress and growing as an individual. Water days in the summer, Music days in the winter, parties on holidays...LSP Willowbrook is always staying busy and keeping everyone...
