I shop at Marc’s for select items and I’m normally good about checking dates. That’s at any grocery store in this day in time. Well today I failed to check the date of the popcorn and got it home and realized that today’s date is 01/17/25 and that the popcorn expired 01/14/25. No big deal I’ll just return it because we all know we can always find some expired food at Marc’s. They have never given me any problems especially with a receipt. My husband decided to be kind (he’s handicapped) and return it for me. Wow what an entire big deal for a bag of expired popcorn. He forgot his ID so he asked for it to be put on a gift card which we would use and they just couldn’t. Mind you we’re normally in there doing the morning crew but the evening lady even with a receipt needed me to come in person. Nonetheless I got the $3.49 returned because we live 5 minutes away but please be sure to check all dates at the grocery stores. Was in Giant Eagle earlier and they had expired taco shells on sale! Pay attention to short dates. With the prices of food I won’t be eating any that’s not fresh. I won’t go to Marc’s in the evening and I will never forget to check every single date (which I normally do). I’ll also help and bring all expired food to the front in my cart to save you guys the trouble of perhaps buying expired food. I’ll also set the rotten fruit or vegetables I find in my cart as well. Marc’s is a staple in the community and I enjoy the Miscellaneous section, but I do not like that they mad a big deal about...
Read moreI had the absolute worst experience with Patty F. The cashier. I was offering my kids a choice of candy bar, and my daughter told me has never had an almond Joy. I told my kids just this once I will let them split two instead of one. They live with their mother , who I will not get into her business but she's an over the top health nut who can get heated over nutrition, and has in the past restricted my access to them over sugar. Not copious sugar, but doughnut, singular , 1 per kid.
At any rate I tell my kids "two candy bars but do not tell your mom"
Patty F. Has a conversation about me about how all men are liars, and the down fall of society is me , and basically alluded to me being a bad father to the customer in front of me. They had a chatty cathy giggle and it was the single most embarrassing public experience I've had since middle school.
She needs to be in a stockroom or gone, because mocking someone without knowing their situation is exactly the opposite of what a friendly cashier...
Read moreI’ve been going to this store for a while now and usually I have no problems but yesterday really upset me. I arrived at the checkout line and the older white lady working in the late morning/early afternoon gave no greeting, no smile. Instead my boyfriend and I received a rather rude scowl as we approached. My transaction was with my wic card but I was having some issues paying and while I’m apologizing for the inconvenience, they just stare at me. As I leave this lady wishes no farewell or anything. On the customer service side, they were completely rude and not understanding as I was sorry I made a slight inconvenience in their day. If you’re going to hire people, hire people who are engaging and at least somewhat happy to be there. This lady gave a very unwelcoming feeling and if I see her again I will gladly go to the next...
