Honestly I never leave a review because I never want to hurt someoneās business but in this case I feel sick to my stomach. I moved from New York two months ago. The groomer of 25 years at this place did an amazing job the first time I took both my dogs. The 2nd time was only two days ago on Friday- I asked if I can bring my 6 lb maltipoo in for a routine tear stain cleaning. They said they will fit me in at the end of the day. I should have listened to my gut because it was telling me to tell the groomer to be gentle and patient with Lily my 6 lb dogs thatās already anxious of people but I just assumed she did a good job the first time and obviously she would go slow (even tho I was her last visit and she was closing). Iāll attach a photo of what she did to my dog. Iām assuming it wasnāt intentional but the way she tried to hide it was so shady. I waited in the car since my baby was asleep in the back and when the groomer brought her out to me I knew there was a problem- groomers hardly ever bring out the dog personally. She gave me Lily and started giving me advice on how to prevent tear stains. I was in a state of shock because Iāve never seen a grooming go this bad- she literally butchered my dog and then gas lit me to think itās my problem. Iām a very reasonable and nice person- if she was upfront with me and said Iām sorry I made a mistake and I hit the skin I would be okay but sad. Instead she waited until I noticed the wound by the tear stains area and then said it will heal no problem that I donāt need to put any ointment. I right away contacted my groomer in New York since she was my groomer since Lily was a baby. My New York groomer told me to run to the vet so it doesnāt get infected. Later, I called the office and spoke to the receptionist that said they would obv refund my vet visit but I have yet to hear from them⦠I emailed them my vet bill and itās been over 24 hours with no reply. Iām sure they will pay- thatās not my issue. My issue is that the groomer gas lit me into thinking this was a non issue with zero accountability, she didnāt tell the receptionist or anyone else in the office, so obviously she was trying to hide it. No one called me to check in and see how Lily is. You claim to love dogs⦠but how can you traumatize my dog like this. She keeps licking her wound and crying. Idk what happened but I had dogs my whole life and this has never happened to me. Please take some accountability and look at the footage of the cleaning⦠idk what happened but a good groomer would take things slow and not traumatize my already scared and anxious dog. I hope Lily will be able to get a grooming again in her life without being...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I started bringing my female german shorthair pointer to this place over a year ago, all was well, and I didn't have any problem with them. However, I got a second german shorthair pointer - a male - and this is when the problems began. I started bringing them both when the male was three months old - the male tends to be very submissive and gets picked/bullied a lot. We asked that the daycare would keep him with the little dogs until he got a little bit bigger as he had already been bit once at the dog park. However, they took it upon themselves to put him with the big dogs saying he was too high energy for the little dog area. I was very worried, but conceded, trusting their judgement. While I was on vacation, the male got bit by a pitbull. The daycare then took him to the vet, put him on antibiotics, and put him in a cone WITHOUT EVER NOTIFYING ME. I happened to call to check on the dogs while I was away, and they told me that they didn't tell me because "we didn't want to ruin your vacation." After this, I wasn't going to bring the dogs back except for the fact that this daycare is very conveniently close to my house. I continued to bring my dogs there until the male was 7 months old, and all was well, until I got a call 20 minutes after dropping off my dogs saying that the male was humping and I needed to come pick him up. They had told me originally that the male would not need to be fixed until he was a year - they then went back on this saying that he needed to fixed right now and could not come back until he was fixed. (Anyone educated about dogs knows that fixing a dog will not stop them from humping. My fixed female humps more than my male.) When I got there to pick up the dogs, I was basically told that the male was too wild and today "he jumped on the wrong pitbull." The worker then went onto explain that, "we have a really nice older pitbull in there, but she doesn't like it when dogs jump on her." Hmmm..I wonder if it could have been the same pitbull that bit him the first time. So I asked him, "basically, what you are telling me is that you cannot handle my dog's energy level?" No reply to that.
To sum it up, they medicated my male without my permission or knowledge and then kicked him out for having too much energy and "jumping on the wrong pitbull." Sounds to me like they have a problem with a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually don't write reviews but I feel compelled to warn people about this horrible facility. My family boarded our dog Layla for five days and when we picked her up, she was limping and wouldn't put her front paw down on the ground. When we questioned one of the staff members, he said that our dog had jumped off the groomers table and hurt her leg. They never called us to inform us about the incident while we were away and they never brought her to a vet to be checked. Instead, the business owner called us a week after we picked up Layla and proceeded to blame us for trying to leave our "unruly dog who humps and abuses the other dogs". After reading other reviews, it is apparent that this is his "go to" excuse when he is confronted with a complaint. My dog has been boarded before and lives with other dogs and I have never heard that she has a humping problem. It is a ridiculous accusation. I can honestly say that I have never been spoken to in such an unprofessional, accusatory way. The owners were not only unwilling to hear our concerns, they were rude and condescending.....and at one point he screamed at me and then hung up on me! It is obvious that they have significant problems with anger and what is most surprising to me is how they manage to stay in business. I asked a friend of mine who also leaves their dog there occasionally for boarding if she has ever had a problem, and she said her dog came home with a huge gash on his paw that she was never informed about! She said she understood dogs play and can be injured but then when her dog came home with fleas she had had enough. She no longer boards her dog there. Beware of this place!! I should have never left my dog...
