Renys Department Store — Local services in Windham

This is a very unique store as are other Renys in Maine. The store is hard to describe, all I can say is it’s like a huge general store. You can find most anything in here from toys, cooking supplies, seasonal items, clothing, shoes, food and sporting type items. They have a large amount of name brand products like Carhartt and Boggs foot wear and very good selection of work boots. You really need to go up and down the aisles and who knows what you’ll find. They have ample amount of workers on the floor and registers. You should try to visit a Renys! This place never stops amazing me! They have very good quality items at very good prices. I recently got a Taylor brand name meat thermometer for $3.99 and it has the recommended temps and a movable marker to make it easier to see when the needle gets to your desired temp. I also got a Craftsman led headlamp for $9.99 and takes three AAA batteries. I've already used this headlamp to go up into our unlit attic space and it lit up the area nicely, putting the light right where I was looking. Great store all the way around: staff very pleasant to interact with & most helpful from the moment you walk in, a spotless bathroom and entire store! Good selection of merchandise...purchased Bogg wet weather boots (unexpected find & on-line reviews were clearly indicating you should/need to ✓out the product in a store situation versus on-line purchase - where you can't kick the tires, you make a best guess and take your chances, esp. if you need to return the item;) a very nice comforter (red/black checkered pattern,) for $29.99 - similar (but w/designer label) @ Marshall's next door for $79.99. Both are 'Made in China' products and machine washable. Beige pattern can be found at BJs for Rent price. The product selection covered pretty much all departments except hardware (which is just fine - that's what Home Depot, Lowe's & Walmart are there for a short distance away.) Great prices on name brand clothing. They do black out the labels on the clothing so is hard to identify some of them which makes sizing brand to brand somewhat difficult(we all know a medium in one is not guaranteed to be the same in another). Shoes, boots, sandals etc for the whole family. Great prices on toys, beating walmart more than once in my experience. You can get dry goods, kitchenware, storage solutions, cleaning supplies, clothing, decorations, outerwear, outdoor gear and anything else you can think of.
