Fleet Farm — Local services in Winona

At the end of February, I called the vehicle service center to ask if they would align my 1992 Tempo. I was also sure that my outer and inner passenger side tie rods were on their way out as well. I told the person on the phone that I had already purchase my parts from a local parts store in town and asked they would install them for me. I drive truck for a living and did not have the time to do it myself. The person I spoke to on the phone said, "we don't normally do that." I told him that my vehicle has more that 200,000 miles on it and I am not interested in sticking a ton of money into it, as it is only used for a 3 mile round trip to work three times a week. The individual on the then proceeded to take my appointment and give me an estimate of approx. 170$. I show up for my appointment and they say they will not install my "cheap, crappy" parts. "We only install MOOG" OH and did i forget to mention the kicker, 302$ for inner and outer tie rods with an alignment. I went to Don's Frame and Alignment; which I should have in the beginning, 120$ and used my "cheap" parts. I called to complain to their manager about the lack of customer service, their dishonesty and the fact that their service manger basically called me a liar to my face, in front of his staff and other customers. Fleetfarm to me is like a kid ina candy store, especially if I'm in the fishing aisle! I was there today, had to return a product and get my fishing license. Then the Sunday paper and their ad, instead of trying to find it, a refrigerant, didn't know if it was something could use on small fridge I have. The custoner service called the appliance department snd it was determined what I had I would probably have to go to another appliance store. That saved a half hour, snd I only had 20 minutes to shop and my leg wasn't cooperating and the store was announcing they were closing, just needed 2 more things and a staff member got both of them for me. Then I wrnt to Walmart!

Yup, glad I was home. However, I won't be leaving anytime soon. As I shut the garage door I heard huge heavy bang! Oh great, I tried the door, it's broke. So..I'll have to call management in morning It's Friday. Very possible they won't be able to fix it. Well imagine that, but mr errands are done and so am I. I do have a doctor appiontment Monday, have to catch a ride with a friend. Oh woes is I, but I have plenty to do...

Let me just say ive been a loyal fleet farm costumer for over 15 years. They usually have what i need. My problem with this particular store and fleet farm in general is their markup on EVERYTHING in the store as well as the way they restock essential items. Or in this stores case the way they DONT restock items. Pickup almost anything in the store and itll have almost a 50% markup over what you can find it for online. This applies to their ammunition, tools, etc etc. I understand brick and mortar convenience is worth additional cost, but fleet farm is greedy with most of their items hands down. The other issue i have is the checkout lines.. only time ive ever seen more then 3 cashiers working lines is on black friday. For how many people walk through their doors everyday you would think they could staff more then 3 registers on average. Convenience is outstanding when they have items in stock and more then one cashier to check you out, but...
