The service was so slow, I could be have gone to the kitchen myself and had it on our plates B4 the waitress got to our table. Although she was nice, nice can't make up for bad service. It wasn't like they were busy. They had more staff standing around with their fingers up their noses, than there were paying customers. Once the barley warm food arrived, it was nothing to write home about. That is why I'm texting this to ya'all. The prices were set it to the service & flavor, I should have sent them a bill for waisted time. The bacon was crispy but was so ©` the hospital in town is right across the street. The crowning event to end such an experience was when someone (not me) had to use the litter box. You have to go thru a scavenger hunt to find the bathrooms
There used to be a hotel attached to this Perkins. Well, the hotel has been under re-distruction for about ohhhhh EVER. You may actually get your meal by the time u can rent a room. From the new hotel next door. Owned by the same person who owns the near by Holiday inn(across the 4 lane highway.) Or the even closer to Perkins is the rather neglected hotel and -guess, guess, guess Right! - a small restaurant/bar. Although u can get your serving if their version of a Contental Breakfast here. There us NO lunch menu.! Why you ask like I and several others.m? Because the owner of that hotel across the 4 lane highway (as well as 2of the 3 hotels back across the street where we started. Do you even remember any more? -A Perkins to jog those brain cells. Anyway u can get a lunch from one of Mr. Hotel Man's restaurant the Green Mill! Who in my opinion ( I've eaten at Green Mill enough times in my life u could resit their menu) dies NOT follow the recipes of all the other Green Mills in existence. Di yourselves a favor. Keep on the Highway South of Winona is LaCrosse Wisconsin. I don't care for the state too much, but there they offer you a wide variety of restaurants & hotels that are NOT all owned by the same funny little man - missing his top hat. Or take your chances at Perkins or go to "Lambo Field...
Read moreWould be more stars. But serves was slow. I am in a wheel chair and where they stuck us. i feel that they were saying look we accommodate for disability. It was the vary first table of the section. But when other people came and they put them in the same section it was in the back kinda away from us. Plus they tried having me sit in the walk way not off to the side. Don't think they realize how much a wheelchair sticks out. Are server you never saw her unless she Had to bring food out and didn't seem happy. Had to flag her down for pop refile. Before are food was there. And when it came to the check waiting for her to realize that we were ready. Which she never did. I ended up having to go up to the register and wait a good at least 5 minutes for someone to realize I was even up there. Asked for my check and then the girl there said o don't know if I can print that let me get the manager. About the food was good. I have no complaints about that. Also if you try to go there in a wheelchair entry is a little ruff to get through. If I decided to go by myself there I wouldn't be able to enter by myself. I would have to call in and say can you please open your door for me. I will re-edit it when I go back and things have...
Read moreIf I could give this place -5 stars, then I would. The staff are terribly, terribly rude. There was a sign posted on the door that said they couldn’t accept parties of more than 6 people because of a shortage of staff. We had a party of 9 people, which was 2 separate families, so we figured we would just go in as two separate families, which would make it a party of 4, and a party of 5. Right when we walk in to ask for 2 tables, we were immediately yelled at by a manager. Literally screamed at. The manager’s exact words were, “Absolutely not! We only have 2 cooks and we don’t have enough staff! Absolutely not!” There were other people in the restaurant and everyone was staring because this manager was screaming at us. We were not rude in any way, all we said when we walked in was that we had a party of 9, but we were okay with being separated as to follow the rules. We said that we didn’t understand why they couldn’t just seat us separately as if we were just two separate parties that came in and we continued to get screamed at and basically were told to leave. We are extremely disappointed with the way that manager treated us and we will not be coming here again. I do not recommend this...
