Gasp — Local services in Winter Park

went here recently and thought everything there was cute, i’d totally buy it…if everything wasn’t obnoxiously expensive. why is a resin dog tag the size of a quarter $16? why is a resin phone case with a sticker on it $30? i understand that you need to make money but when one resin phone case that costs pennies to make is 3 hours of work for most people in florida (because minimum wage), it really makes me not want to spend anything here. so much of the stuff here is cute but i can make it myself for pennies or buy it for much cheaper anywhere else. i understand you need to make money, but charging people out the a$$ the way it’s done at this store is ridiculous. i’d love to come back, my friends and i have been numerous times and every time we leave the store one of us makes a comment about how expensive everything is. id buy way more here if everything was...

My little sister came to visit from Illinois and was SO excited to come to gasp, she was talking about it for months. When we finally went we both left with mixed emotions. The shop itself was cute and fully stocked with items and very clean. However, we both felt like we were a bother to the owner. When we walked in we barely got a hello. Her face was in the computer the whole time we were there and came off very stand-offish. It made my sister uncomfortable to ask any questions and to even check out. When we did go to check out there were no words from the owner during the whole transaction. I went here in summer of 2021 and I had a horrible experience with the owner and her family where me and my friends were accused of stealing and we’re stopped to have our stuff checked. We’re all also not very old (16-17) and we’re by ourselves and just had a horrible experience and were told we were watched on the cameras. We were just given dirty looks and stares the whole time we were in the shop. the owner also blocked me on tiktok after I tried holding her accountable.
