The Vitamin Shoppe — Local services in Woodbury

I placed an online order last Fri at the Hudson Rd location in Woodbury. Figured I'd go to this store since it was on my way back from my trip in WI. Get to the store at 1:45pm, no one is there. No indication via signage that the store has been closed within normal business hours. Checked social media for any closing notices with no further explanation.

I'm like, okay, likely it's the case current events have something to do with it. I email customer care about it, not to complain per se, but to confirm this and get an idea of when I can come pick up. Got a confirmation email response saying they got my message and they'd reply back.

I've gotten zero replies back. So no notices on their website or socials about irregular closures — nothing new be to be learned from Google — customer care is a brick wall.

I want to support my local businesses, but now I've got an order placed with Amazon instead.

"Stuff" happens, but when you at least show urgency for communication, you won't be thought of as undependable. And that's the only thing from them I can take away based on the experience. It's gotta be...

This location advertises price matching but the staff fights it every step of the way. I like going there but I go less and less everytime they deny price matching. There's plenty of things I buy that I don't have a lower price for, but I really don't like the false advertising and staff acting like a price match affects their paycheck.
