Peach State Games — Local services in Woodstock

I went to an RCQ at peach state games today. Round one the head judge Chase Warden cost me my match, and after he was corrected, he did nothing to apologize or say that he had made a mistake, this cost me my match. my op: had two hexproof creatures in play, when I attempted to cast lightning axe, I had paid my red mana and discarded a card when I realized both of his creaturee had hexproof, and the target i had said (lightpaws) was not legal, I was forced into lightning axing my ledger shredder instead of being able to put it back in my hand as the intended and stated target was not legal. During round two, we (me and my op) resolved mulligans. We were then told we were being decked checked. We had told the judge that we had already resolved mulligans, and he said too bad and to pack up. After they had decked, checked 3 separate tables, and took 30 minutes to complete the deck checks, I demanded a refunds as the tournament integrity had been lost. Outside the store decompressing with friends still in the event the owner Jason came out and started screaming and yelling at us, claiming the event was fine, it was not ruined, and we needed to stop complaining about his store and event after standing outside and being rude for over 10 minutes he finally told us to take it to our local level 2.

I also found out, that after i had stated in front of the judge and store owner that i conceded to my r2 opponent and it was reported as a draw, this caused another player to go from 4th place to 1st, as his tie...

Talk about a place that cares about their customers, environment, and product! Customers first: Never before have I had a shop owner remember me, and everyone else, by name. Jason never forgets a face and always has a smile on his. Awesome personality aside, he has probably the best deal I’ve ever seen with the Patreon memberships and always offers a fair competitive price on everything. The relaxed environment: The shop feels like a casual, light environment to play a nice relaxing game. It feels. Like a shop for cards and card players as a quiet coffee café is to a writer. It just works. And the people that play all match the environment, no fights, no arguments, just friends. The product: shelves are stocked and they really care about what their patrons are playing and pay attention to what that means they need to stock up on. The display cases are always full and they top them off whenever a card is sold so there is always something to look at. All cards are in the promised conditions and are very well taken care of.

Amazing shop! Super clean and easy to find what you need. The overall ambiance is nice with soft lighting making it easy to sit there for hours and play your favorite games. The staff is very nice and easy to talk to and the community is very welcoming. It’s always easy to find a group to play with and as a beginner to MTG everyone has been extremely helpful answering any questions I have.

Great selection of single cards with an iPad on the counter to browser the inventory. Excellent selection of accessories with drinks and snacks readily available as well.
