I really don't like giving bad reviews, but if you're not going to be honest about your experience, it defeats the purpose of the review in the first place. I tried "Bub Ba Q" for the first time on a Wednesday around 1:30 pm. They were not busy. I love bbq and was looking forward to trying this one. The name "Bub ba q" sounds like it's going to be good. I was disappointed though. I ordered a pork bbq sandwich with fries.( To Go) The flavor of the bbq was ok at best, but I've tasted better bbq from a bottle of a generic brand. I asked for the spicy bbq sauce. it rolled off the sandwich with the consistency of water. Tasted like watered down bbq sauce with a little cayenne pepper mixed in. The sandwich seemed small to me. Note: the french fry next to the sandwich for size reference. I have to be honest here and say that I was full when I was done eating. The french fries were fresh and hot, they weren't in the least bit salted. If you ever had an unsalted french fry, the cooking oil is all you have for flavoring. The positive - The staff seemed friendly enough and it's location and parking we're good.I will probably give this place another chance, maybe they were having a bad day.

Many times the experience of bbq is lots of sauce and flavor but also lots of fat you have to pick through. Here is the opposite. Great quality meat cooked perfectly and juicy. However the meat was flavorless...I didn’t taste smokiness or really anything besides the Pork. The Texas toast was cheap white bread too. For the appetizer we had the bacon wrapped pork stuffed jalapeños were yummy but since the pork was dry you had to dip in ranch to get the lubrication to swallow. At the table there 4 sauces all of which are kinda watery besides the mustard. So when you put the sauce on it just drizzles to the bottom of the plate. I prefer sauce that is think and sticks to the meat. Since the pork was neutral in flavor but had great texture I really relied on the sauce to pop the bbq. Sadly the only sauce they would really stay on the meat was mustard. They all taste good but in my opinion bbq sauce should be watery. Our server Allison crushed it. She bantered and had fun with us. She did great. I will probably come back again and see if this bbq standard continues. Until then it is far from being the kind of bbq you seek out and crave.

My wife and I used to love having Wing Wednesday here. Over the years, the consistency and quality have declined. Out of 30 wings, about 70% were edible. We had about 4 "wing feathers" without a bit of meat on them. The other wings, if you like chicken jerky, then you might not be disappointed, but my ruling is that the batch I tried to eat cooked 2 or 3 days prior, then was reheated. The mustard wings are great for those who crave a bottle of Plochmans. The medium lemon pepper wings are very salty, but if you can get past that, they do have a sweet/tangy/spicy flavor blend. The naked/dry rubbed wings were the best of the 3. We're sad to say goodbye to Bub-ba-q, but they just keep disappointing. This is the 4th time in the past 4 months that our order was unsatisfactory. I wish them all the best in the future. They need to focus on finding their former glory.

Horrible customer service. I placed a to go order for a large group only to return home to find no bbq sauce to accompany the 4 pounds of pulled pork I had purchased. When I called the restaurant, they said they would have to check their cameras before they could do anything to make it right. While I found it slightly offensive that they didn’t believe me, I suppose there are dishonest people out there, so I was fine with it. Once the manager came back to the phone, she told me they charge the employees for errors in to go orders so they have to confirm on camera. She then told me that I was given sauce and that it was placed in a brown bag. I explained to her that I had ordered wings too and the brown bag had ranch dressing, celery and carrots in it but no bbq sauce. After reviewing the cameras a second time, she finally agreed that I was not given any sauce. She said that she would write my name in a book and they would give me a free pound of pork on my next visit. That hardly made up for the eight people I was feeding having no bbq sauce, but at least it was something. Fast forward a month or two and I call to place another large to go order. I ordered 4 pounds of pork again and mentioned that they should have a note about one pound being free. The cashier said I would have to talk to the manager. I spoke with the manager, Laney, who said that my name wasn’t in the book so she couldn’t confirm my story so she would not honor the free pound of pork. Keep in mind, both of my orders were over $100, but she had no problem calling me a liar and implying that I was trying to get something for free that I was not entitled to receive. No sane human would go to as much trouble as this establishment put me through for $12 worth of pork while ordering quite a bit of additional food. I canceled my order and will never eat at this establishment again. I will also make sure to spread the word on the horrible management and customer service in this restaurant. Worst experIence I have ever had at any restaurant in Woodstock. Go anywhere else,...

So let’s start with what I observe when I walk through the door. As we were standing waiting for the waitress to seat us. There was two guys having lunch. Obviously the waitress was busy with her two tables that she had. So the guy proceeded to take his and his friends used cups over to where they refill drinks. Takes the dirty cups that they have been using stuck them down in the ice that they serve the customers to refill his cups and then proceeded to refill his own sweet tea. when I saw that I should’ve left but no I’ve been coming here for years and their food is great so I decided to give them a chance. Set down ordered our food which by the way was disgusting. There was a couple sitting in front of us that was paying their check when they got up and left she went over to pick up their check. Obviously the two gentlemen that were sitting there with her friends because she went over to complain about the tip that she had received from the elderly couple that have left. Maybe if you got off your cell phone when you came to the table every time you asked anybody if they needed anything maybe you would’ve gotten a better tip. It’s very rude to come to somebody’s table while you’re talking on your personal cell phone and asking do you need anything else. I’ve been coming here for years and their food is always been great but this will be the last time I ever go in there the food was disgusting and how dare your waitresses friends dipped their dirty glasses in the ice that you serve your customers. I know you may not take my comment serious but there’s a lot of people on the next-door app that ask about recommendations of barbecue places and believe me I’ll let them know exactly what goes on in your...

Although I find Bubba Q’s BarBQ to be good, their food can’t make up for their extremely poor service. They have made numerous mistakes on both my dine in and takeout orders in the past year. (Yes, I used to get dinner here regularly) But last night was the final straw. I was looking for something convenient and quick for dinner. My son picked it up on his way home and when he got home I realized they forgot to give him 2 pints of sides. When I called the restaurant to tell them of the mistake, they never apologized and said I could come back and they would give me the sides- they acted like they were doing me a favor. When I asked to talk to the manager, they said he would be in tomorrow. I drove back to get the rest of the food while half of it was getting cold at home and explained to them this was neither convenient nor quick, which was my whole purpose for ordering dinner out. A restaurant has two jobs- provide good food and good service. They failed at half so I requested a 50% discount off my order and for my inconvenience and time. They later called me back and offered me a 20% discount off my NEXT order. To which I replied don’t bother!! I am NEVER coming back!!!!! I can find better Bar BQ with way better service at other places in the area, no reason to put up with this POOR...
